EDITED TO ADD: I came in today to give them one last chance and was met with passive aggressiveness, so clearly my review was read and addressed. The same employee that gave me an attitude last time instantly recognized my name and order and was rude. Unsurprisingly, the matcha still wasn’t correct despite her condescendingly asking “Extra vanilla right?”. When my food was ready, she set it on the counter and rushed away without another word. So much for a welcoming environment.

I’ve been frequenting their downtown location as I live in close proximity and can run over there, however, I will no longer be visiting. The inconsistent pricing is frustrating. I’ve been charged $7.50, $13, and $16 for avocado toast with egg. I specifically ask for none of the extras that their Rainforest Toast has on it, just toast, avocado, and egg and the price changes each time. In addition, I ask for vanilla in my matcha and it’s like pulling teeth to get them to add it. Today I finally asked if they could add a little more as I couldn’t taste any at all, and the lady gave me an attitude and acted like I was interrupting her or bothering her to add more to a drink I just paid nearly $10 for. I know she was not busy as she was standing there chatting about the rain and even went outside to go check out the weather. If I’m paying $23 three times a week with you guys to get avocado toast and a small matcha, I’d at least expect it to be made the way I request, but apparently that’s too much to ask for. I have no problem spending money locally, but after being given an attitude and only having my matcha be correct 50% of the time, I’ll find another local...

I truly love this little spot - the food is consistently delicious, the coffee always hits the spot, and the atmosphere is cozy and beautiful. Many of the staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming, especially Callie, who always greets me with warmth, even while multitasking in the back.

However, after several visits, I’ve had repeated experiences with one team member, Liz, whose energy feels noticeably cold and unwelcoming. She rarely makes eye contact, doesn’t greet customers when they walk in, and on multiple occasions has not acknowledged me at the register while I waited. Today, I stood there for nearly two minutes without a hello, while Callie, who was cooking, came forward to assist me.

As someone who frequents this location 3–5 times per week, it’s disappointing to consistently feel unseen by a front-of-house staff member. While I understand everyone has off days, this has become a pattern that affects the overall experience. I’ve noticed her interactions with other guests seem more engaged, which makes the inconsistency more noticeable.

Additionally, there are frequent upcharges for even simple substitutions or add-ons (like extra salsa or egg swaps), which over time felt a bit excessive and contributed to the decision not to return.

I share this feedback with care - I’ve really enjoyed this place. But unfortunately, I’ve decided not to continue supporting an establishment where hospitality, consistency, and fairness aren’t upheld by the...

In my opinion, this place is overpriced, staff often comes off cold and unwelcoming, and it takes soooo long to get your order compared to other coffee shops. I’d recommend making sure you watch what they charge. Today, again ( after not coming here for 2 + months because of the last bad experience) I had charges that didn’t make sense. I simply asked if I could add the +$1.00 bacon two times. After looking at receipt, they charged me $1.00 and then an additional $2.00?….The server Nancy said “that’s just how it is”…. I was shocked! It’s not about the money, it’s about principle. I live across the street and gave up on this place months ago. Finally decided to try it ONE more time. Never again. I’ll just continue walking 2 blocks to Starbucks where people are always friendly. The staff literally were talking about me in the kitchen while I waited for my food which left me feeling irritated this morning. Paid almost 20$ for a breakfast sandwich and coffee which means service should be great. Box and Brewed across the street is a great example of great customer service. Starbucks on Akard has great customer service… I have never in my life been to a coffee shop where staff make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them.. Again, just look at the food. Is that...

Props to the girl working , she’s by herself and making drinks and getting food as fast as she could . My iced chai latte with oat milk was very good , and the cafe was very aesthetically pleasing

First time visiting this coffee shop and I gotta say the ambience is peaceful and welcoming. The bagels and sandwiches are delicious but the croissant that i had left much to be desired. I had a rose infused latte while my date had a blueberry infused one it took a bit to get used to the flavors but not surprising by since they were unique in their own way. I will say that the italiano indulgent had a smooth and nutty taste that was complimented by the sweetness of the amaretto and hazelnut. Overall a nice place to go to on a rainy day or to socialize just as long as you don’t mind paying for parking on the streets of Dallas.
