Brought some family here that came from out of town and wanted good Mexican food. This place has great reviews so we came here. 4 adults, 1 kid who was very well behaved. The waitress came up to our table and asked if we were splitting the check and we said yes. She responds with “oh we can’t do that”. Why did you ask then? We asked for a refill on chips (the bowl of salsa was huge and the chip basket was tiny) and she said it would be $7 to refill the basket. Once we were done eating my sister in law asked for extra sour cream to go and she tried to charge $2 for it, so she said never mind. When we were done, she came up to us and said “I’m leaving now, so you need to pay me.” I mean, sure I guess! She did end up splitting the check, and we left a small tip. The other members of our party didn’t leave a tip for their check because she had been rude and DEMANDED that we pay immediately because she was leaving. She said “so no tip then?” And SNATCHED the tablet away and stomped into the back and didn’t bring us our to-go boxes. It was truly a wild experience and I’ve never had a server be so rude. We won’t be back, which is a shame because the...
Read moreGreat neighborhood taco spot! Came in with my fiancé, and originally sat outside. We ordered a round of drinks - $6 happy hour marg had the pre-made mix flavor you would expect but with a good kick. Fiancé had several mezcal palomas and enjoyed them as well! We started out with an order of molletes with queso, which were good. I do wish the menu mentioned having pico on top though (not always big fan of onions). When it started to rain the owner came out to quickly and courteously help us move inside. I noticed one table stayed outside under an umbrella but our waitress still ran out to take care of them in the rainy weather. She was a trooper! Date had the birria tacos 10/10. I had one pescado and one camarones taco. Fish taco was great but wouldn’t do the shrimp again just due to the small size of them. Churros with chocolate and whipped cream for dessert were the grand finale!...
Read moreWe came to town to throw axes down the road and chose to grab dinner here afterwards.
They don't provide chips and salsa and the prices are higher than we were expecting for a taco place, but ... location, location, location I suppose.
I chose to eat the carnitas taco, one of my companions got the tostada plate (1 ckn, 1 carnitas), and the other got a vegetable taco, a side of beans, and a cheese enchilada with red sauce.
Friend #2 said her food was ok, but she probably wouldn't come back. Friend #1 thought it was good for the money. I enjoyed my taco. It was tiny but had a good deal of meat and the avocado salsa, was tasty even though I didn't see any avocado whatsoever. LOL It was good enough to order another. I am not a fan of soft tacos normally, but I thoroughly...
