Uptown Banh Mi & Pho — Restaurant in Denver

Consistently amazing. I’ve been here several times since it opened and have enthusiastically recommended it to the Vietnamese food lovers in my life. The pricing is very reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity of the food you’re getting, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. I’ve had friends express skepticism over the location, but it’s a part of Colfax that I feel perfectly safe going to, and it’s been exciting to see better businesses popping up in the area - Uptown Banh Mi is no exception to that.

I landed in Colorado on 4/8, and wanted to try this restaurant based on their high rating, but this was totally misleading, the foods that we ordered was a beef noodle soup and a bowl of rice and tofu the noodle soup is so salty and the rice bowl it just so overcooked, not very good, I left half a bowl there couldn't eat it, to me as a native, what I can say this was not really authentic food at all, not worth the rating of more than two star for quality of the foods there ! I haven’t tried everything on the menu. I tried the beef birria banh mi sandwich. It was mediocre. It reminded me of something you would get from the airport. But 20% better cause it’s not from the airport. The food doesn’t feel fresh. Everything seems premade and prepackaged, and then slopped on your sandwich. Lucky Noodles was a much better use of this space.

The bread is pretty lame.

To go to the bathroom, the restaurant makes you use a key to unlock the bathroom. I think that’s pretty gross. I don’t know who’s touched that key. I don’t know how often that key is washed. Restroom keys are unhygienic and should not be used where hygiene and food safety...
