Love the pool, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. I was there three consecutive days and have no problem tipping 20%+.
There were a couple okay servers and one terrible one.
The terrible server, her service was extremely slow and she was forgetful. She forgot our drinks after I went to the bar to order, she was there and wanted to manage it as part of our tab. We waited 30+mins for her to swing by an tell us she forgot, then she slowly got the drinks and my order wasn't correct. I didn't have another 45mins to wait so I just drank it.
Given the automatic tip amounts they treat customers like they work in Miami where the structure is the same and the service is slow and terrible.
If you're there, you're likely better off going to the bar yourself or going to Descend21 where the drinks are better.
I'd also avoid the frozen drinks, they are usually melted by the time...
Read moreNote, we were just stopping by for lunch. Pool area was busy and inviting. Definitely packed with people who all seemed to be enjoying themselves. There was a pretty good line at the bar, same line for drinks and food. Placed our order and tried to find a place out of the sun. Were with two Brits who were starting to melt in the sun. Ordered a Protein bowl, a chicken sandwich and two Cokes....$52 with mandatory gratuity. They said 15 to 20bminutes to prepare. A little steep, I thought, but we were hungry. Food arrived on time, but you have to watch the pickup window as they don't announce the order is up or bring it to the table. The food was quite good and the portions were fairly good for my sandwich and pretty generous for my wife's protein bowl. Not too bad for a pool bar in a tourist hotel. Did have to hunt for a trash can to bus our table. I would go...
Read moreI don't know if we just caught them on a bad day but the food was not great and frankly way overpriced. I understand that you're paying for convenience, but honestly I'd recommend getting food delivered from anywhere else (like I did the second time).
I got a Caeser Salad which was on the smaller side for an entree, but it was still manageable. However, I paid extra to add chicken and I get 3 very dry strips. My wife got a grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken on hers was also tiny and also dry. The size of the chicken really caught us off guard because I had the grilled chicken sandwich from room service the night before and the chicken was literally double the size.
On the bright side, the tenders we got for our son were normal sized and they gave a...
