I walked into this restaurant expecting an average, tourist-type meal on International Drive in Orlando Florida and walked out having one of the best dining experiences in my adult life - NO KIDDING!
My server Gokhan greeted me immediately with a warm smile. It was immediately apparent that he wanted to make my experience special. He listened to what I wanted and made suggestions.
Since they had blue cheese stuffed olives (many nice restaurants don't have them) I started with my usual Vodka martini, straight up, not dirty, with 3 blue cheese olives. Godkan brought it right away. Now here's what made the experience so nice. Godkan saw that I was working on my computer. He stood away from the table about 4 feet, not approaching until he got my attention to see if I needed anything. It was so different. Most servers just want to 'get it over with' but Gokhan, I felt, was genuine in letting me pace the meal and service.
I ordered the wedge salad. Ok, I know what you are thinking a salad is a salad, but two things made their wedge salad amazing - the delicious pancetta (usually there are bacon bits on the wedge salad) and the soft-boiled egg. The Pancetta was deliciously cooked and had that bacon taste with less fat. If I could compare it this way pancetta is to bacon as ground beef is to filet mignon. The soft-boiled egg on top of the wedge was an unexpected treat - something I had never seen before. Overall, this was the best wedge salad I have ever had. I'm not being hyperbolic. It was delicious.
Gokhan let me sample the top two cabs sold by the glass. I chose Sailor's Grave. It was perfect at $20 a glass, it was worth every penny.
Their menu is not extensive, which sometimes is a blessing in that I think it allows the restaurant to focus on making each dish the best they can be. They had the usual steak offerings, but I was not in the mood for a steak. I chose the shrimp arrabbiata and asked that it be mild. The dish exceeded all expectations. The spice was perfect, the spaghetti was cooked just right, and the shrimp had the flavor of the sauce all through each piece of shrimp. The dish was served piping hot. The depth of flavor was remarkable. This truly was a pleasure to eat, even though I had to take half of it home, as it was a healthy portion.
I left this restaurant completely satisfied, and I'm a tough critic when it comes to good food, as I travel around the world trying restaurants of all types. Gokhan made the experience extra special. He had a way with his patience and helpfulness that truly made this one of the best meals I have had in a very long time.

Read moreI live in Maine, planned a trip to to Orlando a couple months in advance... so plenty of time to search and decide on what we were gonna do... I am big on trying all types of food... I dont really care what it costs as long as its good, so when I saw this restaurant in the hotel we were staying at, I was instantly intrigued and excited, booked a reservation immediately... I am not a very picky person (my girlfriend is, but not me) but unfortunately I feel the food didn't live up to my expectations... first off I noticed one of my forks was still dirty (glad I noticed before i ate lol) no big deal, I told them and they gave me a new fork, we got garlic buns for an appetizer, they were pretty good but the sauce that came with it tasted like ragu pasta sauce or something, not very appetizing and definitely not home made, I ordered filet mignon with truffle fries, and girlfriend ordered mac n cheese. Filet mignon was pretty good but was not cooked medium... I didnt complain because I still ate it... it still had good flavor, but just a bummer that it wasnt cooked how I wanted considering it was $60 for 8oz... girlfriends mac n cheese had lobster in it which she didnt ask for, and definitely tatsed pre made or frozen or something (I tried a couple bites, so not just my picky girlfriends opinion lol)... which might explain why it still had bits of lobster in it... they maybe tried to pick it all out after they heated ( I dont know that for sure... but just an assumption) the best part of the meal was the truffle fries, sooo good, and service was good too... the lady was very nice and understanding, and they did not charge us for the mac n cheese, so thats good, but just kind of a bummer for as pricey as it is... girlfriend said I should give 2 stars... but giving how nice every other aspect of this hotel is, I am willing to give 3 stars, but this restaurant is definitely not as good as it looks online, $220 to have fries be the best part of the meal...
