Cuevas Tacos at Lola's Place — Restaurant in Durango

Absolutely loved it! My wife and I are visiting the area for a wedding. I got kicked out of the bridal shower all because I was the wrong gender. So I took revenge on my wife by eating her favorite food without her. I went there on a Wednesday night around 6:30 p.m. I was greeted immediately and my food arrived within 10 minutes or less of ordering it. The people were very nice. I was asked how things were by a staff member from the kitchen as well as the waiter. I ate the carne asada street tacos. They were excellent. The guacamole and salsa was fantastic as were the chips. I loved sitting outside and the night was perfect for it. Plenty of seating outside and I would recommend that. They have a nice bar and my only regret was not being able to order margaritas. If it were a little later in the evening and I didn't have to drive, I would have. The water was excellent. I'm talking about just a plain old glass of water. I eat here a lot since I work next door at Deloro Salon. The food is really tasty and consistent. Their service is outstanding, they will often bring food to us and our clients at the salon and if they don’t have time to bring food to everyone they have really convenient buzzers that alert you when your food is ready. They serve breakfast until 11 and the menu changes to lunch and dinner after that. I recommend the Dr. Tim’s burrito with Al pastor and they’re bacon breakfast bowl. Tonight I had the pleasure of trying Cuevas Tacos. After reading so many great reviews about them, I decided to check them out, and I’m sure glad I did! The chips were fresh, light and flaky; the salsa had great flavor and the right amount of spiciness; the veggie burrito was wrapped in a fresh tortilla and filled with many tasty ingredients.
