Today we dined here with a large party, 20 people, more than half of which were first timers... We called ahead and they were very accommodating. We arrived 10min early and our table was already set and ready, the staff seated us immediately after they filled all the water, and right away brought out tea while we sorted our orders. We ordered 39 dishes...and with service mastery the dishes were brought out and placed strategically for sharing, every single item from the soups to the dumplings came promptly at a great pace. Every time a plate was emptied it was immediately removed, our tea and waters refilled when needed, napkins and extra dishes provided again when needed and ALL without request. I'm the type to get a head of things in anticipation of delayed service, especially for groups, and I never got the chance, they were really that good, on par with the best service I've ever received at any level of restaurant... Besides the fantastic service, the food was all perfectly cooked and beautifully prepared, every single item literally in its best form and flavor! The Beef Noodle Stew, the Cold Noodles, the Soup Dumplings, the Fried Wantons, Wantons in Chile Oil and the Green Onion Pancake were the standouts, and the Banana Nan for dessert was fantastic...all for under 500$ including tip. I decided to write this review because 5 hours later we are finding ourselves still talking about our experience! Bravos Dough Zone, thank you so much for the meals and we will definitely be coming...
Read moreI was disappointed by this promising place. I ordered the green onion pancakes and the pan fried pork buns. The pancakes were fine but got old as the only food while I waited and waited. The server did not tell me that the buns take 20-30 minutes to come out, and it isn't mentioned in the menu. I had limited time that evening so it messed me up for my other activities. I would have ordered something else if I had known. And then they were not even good to eat. I have no idea why other people love them. They were thin walled pockets with a small, dense blob of meat rattling around inside, and some broth that pours out when you bite into it. So I'd take a bite of dough, try to sop up some broth or sauce but it doesn't soak into the fried dough, and then take a bite of the meat blob. Not enjoyable at all.
The decor is pleasantly light and modern. But when the staff moved the tables and chairs, they made horrible screeching sounds from dragging on the floor. Overall the servers did not seem happy to be there.
Perhaps their other food is better but the menu didn't have much I wanted to try due to spiciness or meat options. I was surprised. Apparently this place has a very narrow range of clientele which is fine if you...
Read moreI love Chinese, but not from here. Ordered take out and when i opened my packaged beef wrap, i started to gag. The smell was so bad that i wasn't even able to get in my mouth. Ordered the beef potstickers as well, which also went in garbage as the beef inside just didn't look right and i'm 99% sure wasn't even beef. The passion fruit tea was ok but the after taste was not. Paid $50 that went straight into garbage. So bad that seeing if my dogs wanted food was not an option. With living expenses so high and new fees & taxes for every thing possible, i DO NOT have $50 to waste. I've noticed this happening more & more from restaurants ( who dump on the take outs as an easy cheat for them ) and not only is it not right but it also stealing money from people who work just as hard as they do for their money. Yes they having to pay more for products, but raising prices and putting on customers, pays for that. Buying cheaper products with little product in it, is not the way to go, nor is serving bad product because you don't want to lose money that you paid for it. Appearances & reviews mean nothing today as you simply can't trust anyone anymore. Save your money & hope for the best from...
