This place is AMAZING!!! My girlfriend took me here this past Saturday for my birthday and we LOVED it. Normally, we go to Piranha (which I have nothing against and they are very good), but not anymore. We will definitely be coming here. The owner Ashim greeted us and cooked for us personally, even though they were incredibly busy. He even gave us a comped appetizer of our choice because we had to wait a little bit so they could finish a rather larger Uber to go order - (though honestly it wasn't more than an extra 10 mins.). The atmosphere is very laid back and casual. They built all the furniture and decorations themselves out of reclaimed wood and pallets (which is very cool). You can simply relax, be yourself and enjoy some amazing food - no attitudes here. We both shared a Spider Roll (unbelievably fresh and SO good) and we each had Hibachi as our main course (me the NY Strip, her the Filet). As has been reported in earlier posts, it's an open kitchen which allows you to see everything and how the staff prepares your food. Everyone, this place is spotless and the entire staff have some of the best hygiene fundamentals I have ever seen. Always washing their hands and cleaning utensils constantly. Very impressive and reassuring. So back to the food. It was cooked to perfection! They make all their own sauces in-house and it makes a huge difference. I could've eaten 100 dumplings and 10 bowls of salad with their yummy ginger dressing. Last, but certainly not least is the owner Ashim. What a great guy! He (and his entire staff - which he personally pulled back together from all over the world (one chef Andrew he brought back from Russia) truly have passion for what they do and for making sure you are enjoying your meal and experience. I can't recommend this place high enough. Just try it. The only complaint I have is that now by posting this it may be hard to get a seat the next time....

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ashim’s Hibachi Grill in Fort Worth, and I can confidently say it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant has a nice, casual vibe, blending the energy of a traditional hibachi experience with the convenience of a quick-service setup.
Ambiance & Service
The space was clean, well-lit, and had a cozy yet lively feel. The hibachi grill setup adds a fun touch, making the meal not just about the food but also the experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed without feeling rushed. Even during peak hours, they handled the crowd efficiently, which I really appreciated.
The Food – Absolutely Delicious!
I ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi, and it was cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of sear, and the shrimp were juicy and well-seasoned. The fried rice was a standout—fluffy, flavorful, and a great complement to the meal.
I also tried the Fort Worth Roll, and it did not disappoint! The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and had a great balance of flavors. The spicy edamame made for a perfect appetizer while waiting for the main dish.
Overall Experience
What stood out to me the most was the quality of the food and the attention to detail. While some hibachi places tend to be heavy on sauce and oil, Ashim’s strikes a great balance, letting the fresh ingredients shine. The portion sizes were good, though I wouldn’t have minded a little extra rice!
Whether you’re looking for a fun hibachi experience or just craving quality Japanese food, Ashim’s Hibachi Grill is definitely a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

We ordered drinks and we’re told that the manager just left and he’s the only one who can make drinks and he might be gone for 20-30 min. Mind you it was 4pm and they just opened. The drinks did appear sooner than expected but they weren’t good. Here’s my biggest issue with the place. You order at the counter and they bring your food when it’s ready but that’s the extent of the service. However, when you pay at the counter, before receiving anything, the registers prompts you for a tip. Tip for what? That’s like tipping at McDonald’s, for them to make a Big Mac. I pay for the food, and tip for the service, but when you’re providing literally no service, what am I tipping you for? So we have some appetizers and a few drinks and then order the main course. (Of course we had to go to the counter each time to order something). So we order a specialty platter that offers 15 prices of sashimi, 4 nigiri, and 2 rolls. The rolls were “chefs choice” so we figured at 67 dollars we were in for a treat, but what we got was a platter of disappointment. Very basic choices. The 2 rolls we basically the same with different fish on top. So if your looking for a basic experience with average sushi this is the place. If you’re wanting a wow experience keep looking. You won’t...
