5 things to do in Fort Worth 1. Experience the Fort Worth Stockyards: This historic district is home to daily cattle drives, rodeos, and a variety of western-themed shops, bars and restaurants. 2. Visit a Honky Tonk: Fort Worth has a rich music scene, and there are several honky tonks where you can listen to live country music and dance the night away. Billy Bob’s Texas is one of the most popular honky tonks in the area. ( and apparently the biggest in the world ) 3. Indulge in a Steak: Fort Worth is known for its delicious steaks, and there are several restaurants where you can enjoy a juicy, Texas-sized steak. Some popular options include Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse and Cattlemen’s Steak House. 4. Shop for Hats or Boots: Western wear is a big part of Fort Worth’s culture, and you can find a wide selection of cowboy hats and boots at stores like Maverick Fine Western Wear or Fincher’s White Front Western Wear. 5. Visit Downtown and the Water Gardens: Downtown Fort Worth is a vibrant area with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions. The Fort Worth Water Gardens is a stunning urban park with several pools, fountains, and waterfalls, making it a great place to relax and cool off on a hot day. #visitdfw #fortworth #stockyards #texas #dft #fortworthtx #fortworthtexas #fortworthstockyards #visitfortworth #traveltexas #visittexas #usatravel #usatrip #visitusa #visittheusa #explorerexas #texastravel #uktravelblogger #travelblogger #usa #londonblogger #londontravelblogger #fortworthlife #fwtx #fortworthevents #fortworthculture #cattledrive #bulls #cowboyboots What to do in Fort Worth. We had set our reservation and were able to sit upstairs on the patio, very nice and breezy and not so closed in. I enjoyed every part of this meal, from the drinks all the way to the dessert. We started with their signature pineapple infused martini (I believe our server said the pineapples are soaked in vodka for 14 days!) and then the Del's Old Fashioned - very smooth and really strong. We started with the Del's Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and the soup of the day which was the Lobster Bisque. The crab cake was the best I've ever had, it had a good crisp on the outside and the cajun sauce really made it shine. The lobster bisque was also so good that we dove in before even taking a pic, just full of lobster! We also paired our meal with a nice Shiraz, very earthy but it opened up, good choice. For our entrees, we had the Colorado Lamb Rack and the Double Eagle Tasting that included the 4oz Filet (medium rare), 3 Jumbo Shrimp, and the Lobster Tail. The steak was so delicious, cooked very well and so flavorful. The lamb was hands down the best of everything because it wasn't as gamey like a New Zealand rack - and it was crusted on the outside and perfectly (medium rare) cooked - our server even went above and beyond and went next door to the other restaurant to get us mint jelly when we had simply asked if it came with it! For dessert, we finished with Espresso Martini's and the Butter Cake. The cocktails can easily be ruined at other places, either not enough espresso or too much vodka - the bartender made no such mistake. The espresso wasn't diluted and had a full flavor. And then the Butter Cake, that was the best cake I've ever had! You can really taste the butter when eating it. Plus the outer crust was very crunchy to resemble a sugar cookie and then it had a soft core with a butterscotch sauce and then a scoop of butter pecan ice cream on the top - this dessert was amazing! This was my first time here, and I will definitely come back!

A small fortune to dine here but an investment in family memories. Saturday night dinner with wife, sons, mom, and big brother. Reservations were for 6:15 pm for our party of 6. Upon arriving at 6:10, we were greeted and seated within two minutes of arrival. The menus were handed out to us individually and waters promptly provided as well. Christine was our server for the night. She introduced herself to everyone and made us feel genuinely welcome and appreciated for choosing to dine at the Double Eagle. She reviewed the specials of the evening and provided some recommendations of special drinks available. A bottle of Poliziano Nobile di Montepulciano ($61) for three and waters for everyone else. We ordered a Shanghai Calamari ($18) for appetizer too. For entrees, here was the lineup: 2 12 oz Filet Mignons ($102), 1 22 oz Dry Aged Colorado Prime Lamb ($58), 1 16 oz Dry Aged Ribeye ($68), 1 Lobster Bisque as entree ($14.50). No complaints here as all entrees were cooked perfectly. Pricing is up a bit but par for the establishment. For salads, there were: 1 dinner salad ($11), 1 Caesar salad ($11.50), 2 lettuce wedge salads ($23). Salads were decent and would've benefitted from a little bit more dressing. For sides, we had: 1 onion rings ($12.50), 1 brussel sprouts ($11.50), 1 bacon jalapeno mac ($14). Definitely order the onion rings if not make it a double order! Skip the mac. It was underwhelming. Dessert was a Banana Bread Pudding ($10.50) which was wonderful. Service was superb. Christine and countless other members of the team worked to keep the flow of the evening steady and enjoyable. All in for the meal and a nice tip was definitely a small fortune ($540) but one that you splurge every once in a blue moon.

Last week, while attending the 2023 Texas Emergency Management Conference in Fort Worth, myself and a colleague decided to dine at Del Fresco’s in Downtown, located near where we stayed, near the convention center. I wish we did not because I experienced the most blatant disregard to customer service from the manager. While I hate feeling that way, I definitely felt dismissed and mistreated due to who I was, and can’t help but feeling that if I wasn’t black he would have treated me differently. He made me feel as If I was wrong or did not belong there. I felt he was unbothered on whether I remained a customer or not.

Background: My colleague and I both ordered 8 ounce fillet cooked medium rare. Mine came out overcooked; the waitress agreed, apologized, and took it back to the kitchen. The manager stoped by to let me know that it would be out in a couple of minutes and apologized. The apology; however, lacked sincerity and came a cross forced, as if I did something wrong. About 10 minutes later, the second attempt at the medium rare fillet was brought to the table and this time the outside was chard while inside was completely raw and cold. The waitress checked the steak and in disbelief started to apologize again that this happened and agreed the steak was completely raw. By this point, the side I ordered to go with my steak is cold and my colleague is almost done with dinner. I grew frustrated and lost my appetite so I asked the waitress to cancel my order as I have lost my appetite. She went back, spoke with the manager, not too far from my vision, again unbothered he walk to the register and does something, which I realized after I got my receipt was removing the filet mignon from my order. Little while later, the waitress returns to the table and offers me a complimentary crab cake for the trouble. I reemphasize my frustration and said that I simply have lost my appetite. She proposes to pack it which I agreed to. Short while later, the waitress returned with the tap, and the only adjustment made was removing the filet and I was charged for the side and the glass of wine. The complementary crabcake was never provided. In absolute disbelieve of what was happening, I gave the waitress my card to pay. The entire time, the manger was walking around, hovering around our table, checking on all other guests on other tables next to ours, being absolutely and utterly dismissive, never saying a word to me or make any attempts to remedy the situation. After I signed my receipt, I asked the waitress for the manager’s name which replied Brian Ruby. Shortly after that the manger comes to the table and tells me “sorry you had a bad evening and I hope you feel better”. It took me everything to keep my composure and not go off. Overall experience -5

Next evening we went to dine at Capital Grille, steps away from Del Fresco’s. where the service exceeded expectation. I ordered the same thing that I wanted to eat the night before, and everything was made to perfection. Everyone, from the hostess, the waitress, and the manager were all welcoming and eager to please their customers. They made sure we had a great experience. The manager came to our table to introduce him self and asked we let him know if we wanted anything and continued to check on us along with others guests to ensure that we were enjoying our evening. We were provided a complimentary dish while we were waiting for the dinner. Overall experience +5.

I hope that the experience I had at the downtown Fort Worth Del Fresco’s is an isolated experience, as I have had better experience at their Houston Location. I propose that they take this feedback seriously and make necessary improvements to prevent this behavior from recurring. As of this moment, I have no...

I usually don't leave bad reviews I just don't like to however today was my second time eating at Del Frisco's the First time was about 10 years ago and I came back because the first time I had the best steak I have ever had anywhere and I used to Rave about this place. Today I went with my sister in law and she ordered the 8 oz. Filet and she loved it but she said they didn't have the avocado ranch anymore. Neither of us liked the bread it was too sweet I prefer Ruth Chris bread it's much better by far. The bread was like a sweet cinnamon roll tasting type of bread. I had the Blue Cheese Lettuce Wedge and it was good and tasted the exact same as Ruth Chris I know because I had Ruth Chris twice last weekend. From the Chilled Menu I tried the Chilled Lobster Cocktail and the Jumbo Lump Crab Cocktail. I liked the Jumbo Lump Crab Cocktail but I didn't care for the Chilled Lobster Cocktail and I have never had Lobster that I disliked before so that was a surprise. The Steak I chose was the Prime Tomahawk 32 oz. $130 and the steak I chose to be cooked medium. When the steak came it looked great however the amount of Seasoning Salt on it was so much I couldn't taste the steak or barely stand to eat it. It was seasoned like I would season a steak if I were going to try to ruin it or if I didn't like the person. Mike was our waiter he came to the table after he had delivered the chilled dishes and neither of us liked the Chilled Lobster so he took it away (we both had two bites of it) and he mentioned he would remove it from our bill (I didn't expect him to or ask him to all I did is honestly answer him when he questioned how we liked it) When he came out to ask about the Steak I told him it was terrible and I didn't like it. He didn't offer to replace it or remove it from my bill or even ask me if I wanted something else which at that point I should have requested something else. I didn't finish the steak and I have never went to a steak house and ordered steak and not finish my steak if that tells you how bad it was especially it being a $130 steak. Our bill came to $294 and some change I left him a $50 tip and we went on our way. After this experience I decided to write the review so if someone else is going to go there and especially if they only ever go there once they know to tell the cook to go easy on the salt because he destroyed the steak. I will go to Ruth Chris next time I want a steak. I hate to feel regretful and salty afterwards but that's how I feel it was the most expensive meal I have ever had and the most disappointing to say the least. I took a video of the food if you would like to see it. The cream corn in my opinion was nothing to brag about and the cream spinach wasn't anything special either neither side would I recommend or...

So, everytime we've visited Del Frisco's in Fort Worth or Pittsburgh, we've had a great experience, until this week. My husband was temporarily working in Texas and I flew down for a week. My flight arrived around dinner time and when my husband picked me up, he said he had reservations at Del Frisco's because it was 90 minutes to central Texas where he was staying. While I wasn't dressed up, I was dressed appropriately for there. When we arrived, I thought we were running a bit behind, but to my surprise, we were about 30 minutes early. We had no where to go, so we were going to wait at the bar. The older woman in the front looked at my husband with a very nasty face and used a nasty tone with him for being that early. She then proceeded to have one of the younger girls to tell me I had to leave because I had "house shoes" on. I actually had on dark green designer slides. They were dressier than the tennis shoes and flip flops I saw on other patrons. They said it was their policy. I didn't bother to argue or point out what other people were wearing because I am not that big of a Del Frisco's fan because I eat a pescatarian diet and I'm at an age where I don't stay in negative environments. My husband was disappointed though. Lucky for us, we went to Waters right down the road. It was the same level of atmosphere in terms of fine dining. but we were treated so much better. We told them what happened at Del Frisco's and they told me I looked fine and they would have never even questioned my slides. In fact, the dining area of Waters was way more formal than Del Frisco's and they were just as crowded, but the staff were so much better! Clearly, the older woman at the front of Del Frisco's shows her emotion and hatred for anyone who annoys her. It's a shame because Del Frisco's was a great place to us for making great memories, until now. We have let all of our friends who live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area know how badly we were treated, as well as all our friends who attend conferences in the downtown area. The atmosphere has really plummeted and there is no food worth letting people treat customers rude and disrespectfully. So, if you're looking for a great place to eat in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Waters is your place, not Del Frisco's. The food, staff, and atmosphere is far...
