Unfortunately, we had a pretty terrible experience here, largely due to the service we received from a rude employee. We also weren't very impressed with the ice cream. It was sickeningly sweet, and the flavors didn't taste fresh or flavorful; they were pretty commercial. Points for the unique flavors, the gluten-free labeling, and the many plant-based options, though! The girl working had an attitude from the moment we opened the door. She treated us like she was irritated that she even had to wait on customers, and was dismissive and rude. And my very biggest pet peeve - she was wearing one of her AirPods and listening to something or on a phone call or whatever. It's so unprofessional, downright tacky, and rude. In the end, of the three of us, only two of us got ice cream, and one of them threw theirs away because it wasn't very good. We immediately looked up other nearby ice cream shops, and ended up at Le Creamian, where the owner was working, and we learned that she makes all of the ice cream in-house. Holy cow, some of the best ice cream and service I've ever had, hands down. Skip Melt, visit the small local business, Le Creamian, and treat yourself to real, true, homemade ice cream and gracious,...
Read moreMELT is an awesome Fort Worth establishment, and the original location on Magnolia street is always so busy that the line flows out the door. That location is cute and fun and the ice cream is great! This new location opened only a few days ago, and I visited with my 3-year old son, and I was absolutely speechless at the perfectly cohesive design of both the brand, the great location, and the interior decoration. The MELT yellow is consistently harmonious, and even accented by more yellow flowers, wonderful walls, even down to the moulding. And that's all before you even get to the real show... my son now knows the word "decadent". I had the brown-butter-cake ice cream, which I believe is seasonal (so get in there quick) and it was everything I wanted. To make things even better, this new location is exactly 2 BLOCKS away from the coffee shop that I own called Vaquero Coffee Co., so when I get off in the morning and I need to cool off, I just walk over. or if I need ice cream to get ready for a sweaty evening shift of making coffee, I can come in for a little pre-shift peace! I hope everyone visits and has a pleasant experience, so that MELT sticks around for...
Read moreMy family & I were out in the Sundance area as we were walking home my uncle suggested we stop at what he swore was the best ice cream he had ,we ended up here at MELT . It was late & prior to walking we asked the group of workers if they were still open they said yes and proceeded to service us. We were a big group only few of us ordered but they all had attitudes and were just plain out rude . As were leaving my uncle went to get the kids sitting . One of the girls there came out from the back and rudely said they were closed my uncle nicely told them ok just getting the kids I she said once again rudely & with attitude and with a raised voice we are closed I stepped in and told her what my uncle had said he needed to get the kids up as they were excited and sit not want to leave . She proceeded to threaten that she was going to call security . It was the worst first experience if they were “closed” they could have politely declined serving us. The ignorance and rude staff there need training on how to treat paying customers not once were we mean or rude to the staff serving us . It’s safe to safe my family and I will not...
