Visited on Saturday (season pass holder). Walked right in no waiting Ashley was our waitress. Our party got in and seated a little before 7pm. She was beyond amazing did everything she could to make the dinning experience great! She kept apologizing for everything taking so long. It was AFTER 8 pm before our side salads even made it to our table. 1 hour for side salads… that is beyond ridiculous! This after Ashley had to go back to the kitchen and ask 3 times. I observed several wait staff coming from the kitchen very upset and perturbed. Rolling their eyes and talking among themselves as they would leave. One even said People sitting around us had also voices complaints as we sat there waiting for our food. The Kitchen manager would come out and stand at the front desk looking at the lights and talking about the lighting. (Sidebar: note to upper management you might want to address to him where his place should be in the kitchen to run it more efficiently). We had enough time to learn there was some staff getting together after work for a party and the hostess was her last day. Once our food arrived after 8:30pm. Keep in mind we was seated before 7pm. The Filet’s were over cooked the loaded baked potatoes were so cold we could have put butter in them to keep it FROM melting! A full bottle of wine was ordered and “a glass” was brought to the table by some other waitress. Had to be sent back since it was not what was ordered. Ashley made it correct by bringing the bottle that was ordered along with 2 glasses for it. Once we had ate it was 9pm. Multiple people had purchased the mountain coster pass (earlier in the day) which was worthless now and those are ONLY good the day of purchase. We asked Ashley to being out the Kitchen Manager and he was extremely unprofessional, condescending, and even went as far as to call us a liar! We told him it is now after 9pm we just finished dinner and it took over an hour for the aide salads to be brought out he said “ No that is not true! There is no way it took that long”. Waves his hand and said ok. “. A member from the party told him it was unacceptable to run a kitchen like that especially when his bill was 170.00 for 2 people. He (Ryan the kitchen manager) then just walked away. Never to be seen again. No apologies nothing! It was the worst management I have seen in 30 years! Ryan has absolutely NO business being in any kind of a lead role. Frankly gathering trash behind the scenes in the park would be too much of a job for him to handle. Since I am a season pass holder i will return to the park, I will eat in the park however, I will ask BEFORE I am seated if Ryan is on duty running the kitchen. I will post this review on other social media. The restaurant has several other low reviews, maybe management should look into why it is getting these reviews. Before the restaurant falls off that mountain...

We recently took our family of four to the Cliff Top Restaurant at Anakeesta, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience! While we didn't catch the sunset, the gorgeous mountain views were still a sight to behold. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

While the food was not necessarily the best we've ever had, it was truly satisfying and enjoyable. We tried a variety of dishes, like the scrumptious Smoky Mountain Trout and the flavorful Anakeesta BBQ Ribs. Every dish was well-prepared and hit the spot for each of us, making it an enjoyable meal for the whole family.

But what really set our experience apart was the exceptional service we received, particularly from our server, Lindsay. She was an absolute superstar! Here's a rundown of what made her service so outstanding:

Warm and Friendly: Lindsay greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel comfortable right away. Her friendly attitude made the dining experience that much more enjoyable.

Attentive: She was always there when we needed her, refilling drinks, checking on our meal, and making sure everything was to our liking.

Knowledgeable: Lindsay was well-versed in the menu and able to provide excellent recommendations for both food and drinks, ensuring we had a great meal.

Accommodating: She went above and beyond to cater to our family's needs, including our children's specific requests, making the meal a hit with everyone.

Engaging: Lindsay made an effort to connect with us, striking the perfect balance between being friendly and professional.

The combination of delicious food, beautiful scenery, and top-notch service made our family's visit to Cliff Top Restaurant at Anakeesta truly memorable. The prices were also reasonable, giving us excellent value for our money.

If you're looking for a wonderful family dining experience in the Smoky Mountains, look no further than Cliff Top Restaurant at Anakeesta. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing meal, complete with stunning views and outstanding service (thanks, Lindsay!). We can't wait to go back and enjoy another meal at this...

Me and hubby were super excited for this one! It's up in Anakeesta, so you're not getting to it for free. It seemed like the perfect nice little place for our anniversary dinner. It was not. At all.

I'm going to preface this with hubby and I have been in food service, we know it's not all one person's fault, but goodness it was disgraceful. First we sat for quite awhile before being helped. And then our server wasn't sure of what beers were on tap. I believe his name was Oween? Whatever, we don't need drinks. So we each ended up ordering basically a mushroom and swiss burger.

This is the semi-redeeming thing. The burger itself was wonderful, perfectly grilled and seasoned. Now if I had more than 4 mushroom slivers and 7 onion slivers, it would have been much better. Yes there was that little I could count it and it didn't cover half the burger. Hubby basically just as little topping in his. I asked for mayo, didn't get any. The fries came out cold and hard. But I'm not sure if from sitting or not being fully cooked. Both of ours. The salt didn't even stick to them they were that cold. The problem was, is we had to flag our server down after 10 mins of them not showing up to get mayo since there were no toppings to speak up, but I left that alone. And to ask for fresh fries as both of ours were cold when they came out.

He did bring out ONE serving of fries that were completely fresh. And they were actually very delicious and glad we got new ones, that we shared. We then we waited again to eventually get the check. I mean I get hands off waiters, but goodness! He wasn't even the o e to bring our food. And it was not very busy. He had 2 other tables the whole time, and didn't pay much attention to them either. The views were nice though, even from the middle.id the restaurant. So that and the burger and fries done right, was the only...

Don't go here with young children. Food was good for a theme park. Not a real fine dining restaurant. Staff didn't give out kids menus even though they had them. They only have high chairs no booster seats but declined to help get them set up making my wife and I have to find some place to store the two superfluous chairs we had at our half bench table. We couldn't just shift the chairs around. The reservation system is awful. We were told the wait was 40 minutes so we walked around the park a bit to get a text 15 minutes later that we had 5 minutes to return to the restaurant or they would give up our spot so we had to pick up our kids and jog back to get there with two minutes to spare. If you need to use the restroom you have to exit the building and walk around to the opposite side of the building's entrance to use the park bathroom so make sure to leave something important behind so the servers know you're not trying to dine and dash. Also, what fine dining restaurant doesn't have a bathroom? All in all it seems like a cheap amusement parks version of fine dining. Even the antler chandelier is plastic. I will add that there was a giant chunk of small bones in part of my trout. Don't know if that's on the cooking staff but it was embarrassing spitting an entire bite of (bone filled) food into my napkin. Also when night comes they don't dim the lights so what you see out the window is glare from inside the restaurant.

It was an unusual 75 degrees and sunny on Nov 10, so we went to Anakeesta for dinner and sunset at the Cliff Top. The colors were peaked! It was so gorgeous and totally special. We thoroughly enjoyed the ascent to the top and down when the lights came on and the stars came out. Yes! I saw a bear on the way to the top! We were pleasantly surprised to see the quality of the offerings on the Cliff Top menu, with very fair prices. I recommend the charcuterie board to begin. Our server Robin hooked me up with a great cocktail or two! The service was excellent and the atmosphere is incomparable to any other restaurant I know of in Gatlinburg. This was an outstanding way to spend an evening. Two words of caution: Gatlinburg is almost always overcrowded. By crowded, I mean you can't even pay to park because the lots are full. We were lucky enough to be there on a work/school day. I wouldn't attempt this on a holiday or even in the summer. Also, it can be done cost consciously, but you need to allow for the cost of parking, and tickets to the top; $15 and $45 for 2 adults.
