THIS IS A GOOD REVIEW even though it doesn’t start out that way. I just returned home after picking up our Giant #11 Stickball. I swore the last time I was there (months ago) I was going to leave an unfavorable review and that we wouldn’t return. I was never satisfied with the cleanliness of the food prep area, the quality of the food and most importantly the cleanliness of the people preparing my food. I watched a young man crawl out of his car with a uniform shirt that looked like it was at the bottom of a filthy laundry pile, hair was greasy and he looked like he was late (and hungover). I said a quiet prayer that his filthy hands would not be handling my food. My prayer wasn’t answered. He walked straight to the food prep area, wiped his nose with the back of his unwashed hand several times as he was carelessly making the food I was about to eat. I was treated poorly by the person at the register because I wanted to watch the sandwich being made before I paid. TODAY it was as if it was under new management/ownership. The workers were in clean uniforms, wearing gloves, and the food prep area was CLEAN and I didn’t feel like cross contamination was a problem. Everyone was working together in a cohesive way. Everyone was friendly and I had no complaints. I was happy to add a tip at the register (I always have, but I resent it when in my experience it isn’t deserved). This was BY FAR the best experience in this location. I will look forward to coming back soon. I hope this is the new normal. I do want to give props to the team that was on duty 11/12/23 at 12:00 pm. Thank you. We will definitely return often. 12/12/23 Yesterday I returned for the first time since I left the review above. I went with a little trepidation because I just couldn’t believe that my previous experience wasn’t too good to be true. I’m happy to say that on this Monday (at lunchtime) I had a very similar experience. The staff were friendly and courteous. They were each wearing clean uniforms with aprons. The food prep area was clean and the produce was fresh and displayed in a way that made me feel there wasn’t any cross contamination (In my previous visits I was always concerned that they were careless about handling the food that I was about to eat). It seems as if there was a bit of a shakeup in this particular store. I can say that we plan to go back often. It’s because of the radical changes we have seen and that we don’t feel worried that our food was handled in a unsafe way. Kudos to the management and franchise owner. Keep up the great work....
Read moreI came in and ordered a large he put a giant together. I let them know when I was paying for it because I noticed the price was twice the price. So the guy came over took my sandwich out of the bag took half the sandwich out re-wrapped it and gave it back. I don't care what business you're in that was so unprofessional and I have to use the word ghetto. If I screwed up someone's order and made it larger than it supposed to be and then when they're going to pay for it realize there's an error you charge them for the amount that they ordered. When you realize you messed up you do the right thing and just give the entire sandwich it's called common Sense customer service versus ripping the sandwich and half in front of them and giving them that not even cut correctly. I will never come back to this Jersey Mike's I have been going for years. Seriously extreme unprofessionalism. On top of that after he took half of the sandwich away looking me straight in the eyes he just threw it away. I didn't do anything to accept the guy in any way he wasn't upset. Just completely unprofessional and he should be working at McDonald's in the back making nuggets. Seriously the guy tore my sandwich in half and then handed it to me. I didn't make the error he did. Instead of doing the correct thing I'm sorry sir will charge you for a large since you asked for a large. And I won't unwrap your sandwich tear it apart and put it back in a bag halfway messed up. You have an employee who doesn't have common sense. If you mess up you own up to it and you take care of the customer instead of embarrassing them. To make it worse it was my free sandwich with my points didn't even know that get to the cash register he knows that. And could have just said sir for an extra $4 you can have the job. And I would have said no problem. And you wouldn't be getting...
Read moreI’m not normally one to complain, I especially don’t go out of my way to write a review. But the GM wasn’t at the location when I called and I am pretty frustrated. I ordered online for my family. When we got the order home all the toppings were mixed up. My son couldn’t even eat his sandwich. I didn’t call because I wasn’t going to drive back, so we took the hit. A few weeks later (my current order) we decided to try again. This time for my son I also made sure to write in the notes exactly how he wanted his sandwich so it wouldn’t get messed up. I made a joke to my husband before he left to “make sure to open and check all the sandwich’s before he left” not actually thinking it would get messed up again. This time I even put in the notes what my sons sandwich should have on it as well for back up and it still had additional items on it that should have been left off and then the turkey from my sons sandwich was put on my vegetarian sandwich instead of his. It’s just irritating to put in an online order for the sake of convenience... only to get home sit down and get ready to eat with your family, and have to turn around and drive back. Especially when you tip ahead of time assuming the order will be checked before put out. No one seemed that concerned when I went back with the mistake until on my way out the door the girl finally said sorry about that have a good day. Unfortunately I will not be back and have uninstalled the app. I’m not going to open my sandwiches every time before I leave wondering what I’ll get next. Mistakes are made I get it, but two orders in a row just seems a...
