Chef's Market is a cafeteria style place. You go through the line and the first thing you will see is the cold salad and pastas. The next portion of the line is your main food area. Plenty of entrees and sides to choose from. I have tried and repeatedly get three meat choices. They are the pot roast, meatloaf, and hot chicken casserole When you see hot chicken casserole, you may think of hot, like spicy, or burn your mouth. This casserole is not hot at all. It is chicken chunks in a creamy sauce, somewhat like cream of chicken soup, with vegetables in it. Pot roast comes with gravy and some veggies. I get them, even though you have a choice. They have a lot of basic veggie choices. Some that you may not think will be the vegatable casserole. It was really good. One of the employees at the checkout told me to try the sweet potato casserole, and I have, and it was really good. After you pick your food they put it on a tray, give you a cup and a sales ticket, and you go set down. They also have some salads and sandwiches/burgers that they will make and you go back and get them when you are done. When you chekout, you will not miss the dessert area that is full of cakes and cookies. I watched a couple of people get the strawberry cake and said it was great. Carmel one looked good but I was full. Most people were getting them to take home. They also have, I believe, a sweet tea with a...
Read moreOh my goodness, I don’t even know where to begin! I work in healthcare at various clinic’s across Nashville & surrounding areas. I was working at a clinic in Goodlettsville & love trying new restaurants, so I came across this place while doing a Google search and decided to try it for lunch because of the glowing reviews. Once I was inside the restaurant, I went towards the back and found the area to order food. There are several menus up and you can select what you want. You can also see most of the food behind the glass display. It’s overwhelming to choose because everything looked so good! I chose the chicken fajita soup and an avocado salad. And when I took the first bite of that soup, I almost passed out because it was sooooo good!! It was THE best chicken tortilla soup I’ve had, and I dare say the best soup I’ve had. Ever! It was flavorful, the chicken was tender, and there were crunchy thick tortilla strips with fresh cheese. I was sad when I finished the last bite! lol The avocado salad was delicious as well— all of the ingredients were really fresh. The prices are very reasonable and the customer service was excellent also! I definitely plan to visit Chef’s Market again. I want to bring my parents so they can try the incredible chicken...
Read more4/14/22 I’m from Florida and visiting my daughter who lives in Hendersonville. She has taken us to Chef’s Market on more than one occasion. She even took her sister and bridesmaids here during a bachelorette weekend. We love the food, the shopping and the desserts! The reason for the low rating is because on this particular visit, straight from the airport, we were Very disappointed in the service. From start to finish to be honest. They were out of Many food choices and it was of food that is always in high demand. We had to wait for rolls for 15 minutes so we asked if we could possibly have a smaller portion of side to compensate but the manager kept saying how a side is over $4. He did not even try to make any apologies or suggestions. He wouldn’t even look at our faces and kept telling the poor employee to tell us even though he was just standing directly in front of us. After we, and many more customers waited for their roll (which by the time we got our 1, they ran out again for the 15 + customers who were behind us) we headed to the counter to get some dessert and pay. The employees waiting on us were very short and impatient. We will probably come back one day but we were so sad and dissatisfied with the manager and lack of...
