Montana Mike's — Restaurant in Greenfield

The absolutely WORST service and food we've EVER had!! First off we ordered an appetizer, we got no plates. Our server told us she'd be right back with some rolls, the next time we saw her was when she brought our salads AND dinner at the same time!! And still no rolls. While I was eating my salad the server came back and asked if everything was ok. I shook my head no, because my husband that NEVER complains about food, his steak was over cooked, dry and absolutely no flavor whatsoever!! She says "sorry" and walked away. Next the manager came over and asked how his steak was, he stated there was no flavor and over cooked, the manager asked how my steak was, I hadn't even started eating it yet because I was trying to finish my salad. We again asked for some rolls, another server brought some out after our server told us there was a 10 minute wait on rolls, when every table around us had gotten rolls. I'm going to assume the gentleman that came to our table with our server was the manager, he told us he had taken my husband's steak off of the bill, we thankes him. (The server had already dropped our bill off at the table). I had to take my daughter to the restroom, and the server came back and asked if we were done, my husband says she hasn't even cut into her steak yet! I get back to the table cut into my steak, nothing-no juice came out, and I mean none! It has no flavor, was dry and over cooked as well. I literally took one bite! When we stood up trying to get our coats on the bus boy was literally standing right behind my husband reaching around grabbing stuff off the table!!! The absolute worst service, meal and atmosphere we've ever experienced there before. And let it be noted that no one came back to our table after my husband paid the bill while I was in the restroom. Are you freaking serious!!! What a waste of $65 we've ever spent! And what makes me more irritated is we were treated like an inconvenience from the time we walked in. I should've went with my gut and walked right back out! It will be a very very long time before we go back to Montana Mike's that...

I don't normally write reviews (good or bad), but this was one of my top 5 worst dining experiences ever. We just dropped 100 bucks on a meal and by the end of it was still not even sure who our server actually was. A. because the guy that originally took our food and drink orders, completely vanished for the rest of our meal, never saw him again, and B. we never had anybody else come up to us after the food came. We had to flag down a passer-by server to ask for anything we needed. On to complaint number two. It should have been a hint when my stout beer came to the table with no head, but I decided to substitute out my side salad for one of my favorite things to eat on the planet. French onion soup. This is a hard thing to mess up. It's so basic, but mess it up they did. Aside from it being borderline room temperature, the soup itself I'm convinced was from a can, croutons out of a bag, and to make things exponentially worse, they slapped two slices of Kraft white American singles on the top of it. Here's the kicker, we had to flag down (our server?? still unsure at this point) to send my wife's steak back because it grossly under cooked. Ordered medium and the thing was still moving. It comes back still under cooked, but at this point we are both frustrated and she decides to deal with it. Well dealing with it wasn't nearly as easy as she had initially thought. With her preferring a steak medium to medium-well, it turned out to be too much for her to stomach blood spilling down on to her plate with every cut. This left her with two sides and an empty stomach after concluding our meal. I'm not the type to complain in person, but I immediately regretted not speaking to management as we pulled out of the parking lot. One positive: they have neat menus with pretty pictures of mouth watering meals. Unfortunately for the diner, the food that comes out looks absolutely nothing like the menu. I expect that from McDonald's. Not from a steak house and a hundred dollar bill at the end. It's safe to say that we will not be returning to Montana Mikes. Save yourself some money and go...

I had a large order to go. I came to pick up the order. Worker wanted me to check the order in the car. What a huge mess to check in a car with multiple containers filled with things like gravy and trying to not get the containers to spill over mixing foods up etc. She forgot one of the meals.. She went back in to get it. I thought I had everything. I made it half way home before they called saying appetizer was forgotten. Went back to get the appetizer of fried mushrooms and zucchini. Finally get home. Food cold by now. Appetizer unedible saturated in grease and so mushy can’t pick it up. Tasted like it had sat and was microwaved as it was hot. I didn’t like my steak tips and rice. Steak tips was chewy fat. My baked potato was cold and had been cooked so long it was hard.My mother said her chop steak tasted burnt. The cinnamon apples did not taste good and stung throat going down like cheap kool aid does.Horrible experience. I don’t plan to return. Overpriced nasty food. Update: Spoke to manager. They said they have been having problems with servers forgetting parts of the order and poor food being served and they are trying to correct it. Offered me a gift card. I stated no I wanted a refund. They would not refund the money. I did not want to eat there again so told them to keep the gift card and let them know they permanently lost a customer.

Update: called and asked for a manager. Lady that answered said she will get one but asked what it’s about. I informed her it’s between me and a manager. Manager gets on. I explained issues. Manager admitted they have been having issues with poor food and servers forgetting orders. Offered me a gift card. I said no I wouldn’t eat there again and rather a refund. They refused a refund. I made it clear they permanently lost customers. Management clearly rather lose customers. This place seems to need new management and either new staff or retrained...
