If I could give -20 stars, I would. I've eaten at the Clemson location and NEVER encountered what I did last night while visiting this Greenville location with my boyfriend around 10pm. Being the ONLY two African Americans in the establishment, we walk in to Meg the Stallion music with the "N" word throughout the entire song being blasted loudly over the intercom while a few white customers casually dined, completely okay with it. The entire staff was dancing and unbothered. As the young lady taking our order made a poor attempt to get someone to change the music because 2 black people are now at the counter (trying to be discreet despite laughing and dancing along prior), you see a couple people walk to the back to change the music. The next selection was a Cardi B song that they must've realized ALSO contains the "N" word, so they fumbled again to change it and we hear yet ANOTHER rap song by the Game. NONE of these were beeped out, so it's clear someone played this from their phone. I asked to speak to the manager (who I didn't know at the time was one of the ones participating then walked off to the back). One girl goes to the back and comes out with benadryl...?! No ma'am, I asked for a MANAGER (which she knew but was trying to avoid). She leaves again and a few minutes later, the manager comes out. Me: I'm letting you know that both of us have filed complaints with corporate due to the vulgar music being played in this establishment. Him: nodding because he knew it was wrong " That's just our night music, it switches over at 10:30" (conveniently switched 4 times while we placed a to-go order until it landed on a pop song...yeah, okay liar) Me: I've been to other locations later than this and haven't experienced this and it seems awfully convenient it does it now. Him: "and why is that?" Me: we're the only blacks in here Him: "oh no, no. We're open til 3am so that's just our night music"
I know BS and he was definitely full of it. In addition to the corporate complaint, I will also upload the video so that all people of color avoid them. No apology, no refund, no consequences for the staff. Just denial and lies. I wont be back to any location and hope to hear from corporate soon regarding THEIR selection of "night music." You all should be ashamed and fired,...
Read moreSully’s Steamers is a Greenville treasure, and here’s why you should eat there today.
First, it’s locally owned. In a downtown scene increasingly dominated by outside money and corporate restaurant groups, Sully’s owner Robert is fighting the good fight by keeping his place local. He’s there most days, and you can tell he really cares about the product that his restaurant puts out. Go to Sully’s today and help keep downtown local before someone replaces a historic building with a Chili’s.
Second, the service is great. The employees are enthusiastic and friendly. The place is usually busy, but the line moves quickly and food comes out fast. After you order, grab a table inside or outside and someone will run your food to you. If you order online or over the phone, it will probably be ready by the time you get there.
Third, it’s delicious. I’ve eaten probably half of the options on the ridiculously large menu and I’ve never been disappointed. They have sweet sandwiches, savory sandwiches; breakfast, lunch and late night options; turkey, ham, roast beef, veggie; fruity bagels, cheesy bagels, everything bagels. You name it, this place will have it. Admittedly, the menu can be a little intimidating, but, because Sully’s is awesome, they’ve thought of that and provided a small, well-curated first-timers’ menu. I’m partial to the Blondie, which is a turkey sandwich with herbed cream cheese, but if you aren’t afraid to go big, try the McSteamy, which is their roast-beef take on a Big Mac. It’s so decadently satisfying. Also, don’t be put off by the fact that these are bagels. They’re not tough or doughy. The steaming process transforms the bagels into light, warm, pillowy clouds of sandwich goodness.
I seriously love...
Read moreThey got everything right!!! Seriously we come in with large to go orders for family. We grab and dip. They got the order completely right!!! And man is it delicious. My 70yr old father devoured the sausage egg and cheese. Threw some hot sauce on it and went to town. My husband ate 2 and my youngest ate the entire bagel!!! I am impressed it is moist meat, soft bread, fresh lettuce and so much CHEESE. So many places will put the smallest slice of cheese barely melted. This was a MELT i mean just dripping cheese and I loved it!
Service was good as well fast, patient(first visit so we had to look), informative and nice. It wasn't a rushed morning but the shop wasn't empty so they were booking it in the back with to go orders and online orders. The wait was beyond reasonable. 10/10 we will come back!
Parking, this is main street be aware parking is limited. Early mornings are easier to get in so a Sunday st 8am will be a awesome time to find parking go grab and run. Saturday during the farmers market won't work as well. So plan ahead!
This place is also decently priced for what you are getting VERY reasonable! So if you need go feed more than 2 this would be a great place to get a good meal that will fill you up to walk falls park. Or a stop in...
