(Backstory: I was comped 6 pizzas for an incident back in February where my pizzas were delivered almost an hour late for a small corporate event, with no notice from the restaurant.) I called in an order for that comp on 6/11, for a delivery on 6/12, and was quoted delivery time between 12-12:15. Once again, I had to call the restaurant (I called at 12:24) to find out where my delivery was. I had ordered the pizza for another small corporate event that started at 1:00 pm and I needed to get lunch out for the group.
When I called and asked for the manager, the assistant manager informed me that he was out and she offered to help. When I explained the situation, she LAUGHED while telling me that once again, not only were my pizzas not being delivered on time, but were STILL IN THE OVEN. I asked if there was any way to expedite the order, which she told me she could not. I told her to not have the delivery sent, and that I would come get them. I picked up the 6 pizzas and had to carry them wearing heels up a flight of stairs. I had told the person when I picked up to remove the $45 tip I had left on the order, because that was intended for the delivery, which I did not get. When I got back to the office, two of the pizzas were wrong, and our meeting was delayed.
I gave the restaurant some time to reconcile the bill, thinking I would be credited within a few business days, and once again had to call back (6/17) and get a manager on the line, as the full total of the comp amount (toppings + tip) were still showing on my bank statement. The manager, John, told me that at this point he could not do anything about it, and that it would have to go to the owner/through corporate and assured me that the owner would call me back in a few days after returning from a family emergency. I asked if I should call corporate myself, and he assured me the owner would call back.
I called AGAIN on 6/25 after not hearing back from anyone, and to this day I still have not received a call back from the owner, although I did see a credit on my statement for $45.17 (the amount for the toppings, NOT the tip amount that was left.)
I have contacted the corporate office to inform them that this store needs serious improvement on their customer service, timeliness, responsiveness, and accountability.
This now makes three times I was assured that I would get a response, and have not. At this point, I do not want to hear any more excuses from this restaurant, I just want everyone to understand how they are operating at this location. I will never again rely on them, and would suggest considering another pizza joint if you need to serve food at a...
Read moreIf I could give no stars I would. I been a loyal customer to Anthony's Pizza in Aurora and in DTC for years. I'm from Philly so it's as close as I can get to east coast pizza. The last 3 times of me ordering from the DTC location my service been terrible. Maybe because of new management I don't know. But My order was an hour and half late the last three times. This time it was over an hour late and my order was wrong. They forgot my Italian salad, the chicken parmesan sandwich was dry, cold and threw together and no crush pepper, parmesan and garlic after I asked to please not forget it because they always do forget. I live down the street literally and it's over hour late. With a non caring attitude from Cody. I'm extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. My mother ordered from them as well a pasta dish and paid for Italian sausage to be added. They didn't add it, told her they would bring it out never did. I never write reviews but I feel like I had to. I have to find another pizza place now and that sucks. Don't order from there if you want cold late pizza and missing items...
Read moreMy roommate and I called in and ordered 5 individual slices of cheese for take out. We did this knowing that they have a sign that states slices of cheese are $3 on Tuesdays.
When we got there (on a Tuesday) they said the total was $23 and some change and in our tired (long work day) state didn't think about it until after we paid.
When we asked about the $3 slices, we were informed that that deal is "by request only". When you order, you must mention you'd rather have your cheese slices at $3 apiece instead of the normal $4.25 or whatever they are. I'll mention that this is not stated on their $3 slice advertisement on their wall menu.
We were too tired to argue or be labeled as problematic, so we left. Seems a little sheisty to have a policy like that which can definitely be construed as a "bait and switch".
Pizza was tasty, even if my mood was soured.
Update: guest service reached out to me, let me know that this wasn't the ideal experience, and gave me a credit to try again. This time everything was aces and on point. Thanks Anthony's Pizza...
