25+ minutes waiting and decided to cancel my order. Jessalyn, whom I believe is the manager spoke to me rudely and sternly. My order was $30.37. I tipped $5. I ordered 4 food items a large iced tea and a 5 shot espresso with milk. She seemed flustered and tried to be kind but it wasn't working. I asked her what kind of sweet foam they had and she said she could add syrup to any foam. I asked if she could please put a little foam and she loudly and aggressively said yes but I'll have to charge you. This is after spending $35. I said ok. The poor lady in front of me ordered a regular coffee and she was waiting 25 minutes. I approached the register and Jessalyn said I told you I would be with you in a moment and I didn't say anything. I said this poor woman is waiting for a regular coffee. Jessalyn jumped through hoops to get her coffee while speaking sternly to me in front of everybody. I had no idea that Starbucks charged for a splash of milk. From my experience almost every Starbucks is always kind and goes above and beyond but not the airport rd location in Allentown. Read moreIn some instances the staff has not kept the place up to par with other local Starbucks. I have had orders forgotten, the cafe is not always cleanly, the condiment bar is either unstocked or messy, and their dairy products are left on the counter for excessive periods of time. I have also seen them get caught up in personal chatter and then get backed up in orders.
The redeeming quality is that the staff is friendly, minus a few eggs here and there. The manager is well informed in coffee knowledge and is very uplifting. I have seen her coaching her staff properly and courteously. The general vibe of the store is 'happy,' except for times when drive-thru is swamped.
Overall, the staff is accommodating when something is pointed out or there was a mishap. If the mood of the store was less inclined, it would be 3/5 stars as the food and drinks are 'as expected' of Starbucks quality.

Read moreChanging my once glowing, positive review to a negative. If I could make this 0 stars I would. Lately, (among what feels like a growing list of issues) this has been the slowest drive thru I've ever used, sometimes waiting close to 30 minutes to get to the window.
Today, I went to get a coffee for tomorrow morning and got in line around 4:45. Once I got to the ordering station, almost precisely at 5pm, I was told that they close at 5 and will no longer be taking orders. Typically, especially with foodservice, you would take the rest of the line AND THEN close, not turn away paying customers.
As a long time Starbucks customer this felt like a slap in the face and especially after the crummy service i've gotten here in the past few weeks (Late orders, wrong orders, etc) I can safely say I never want to order from Starbucks ever again and certainly will never come to this...
