The Christmas Shoppe — Local services in Helen

I would give this store zero stars if that were an option. Not so much the store but the women who owns it. Or at least the women who was working and closed the store on Thursday July 28th. I believe she was the owner, she was incredibly rude and I wouldn't give my business to them if she would have ending up being open after the experience I had at her store. Me, my daughters, my mother, and my grandmother had been looking forward to stopping into her store since we arrived in Hellen from Jacksonville. When we got there we had just missed it, they had closed... Later that evening we passed by waking to our car and she was locking up leaving for the night and being friendly we said, "we're so sad we missed you today, you had just closed but we will be back tomorrow when you're open" her response in a AWFUL RUDE tone was "Oh well, I was open, should've been here, but I don't care because I made a lot of money today. And I'm closed for 7 days because we're going on vacation. So too bad". My Grandmother calmly said, "well enjoy your vacation". I walked off before I had the chance to react because my response would've not been as calm or kind. Not professional and NOT the way a business owner should treat customers, especially the ones were so excited about going to their store. While spending more time in Hellen I came to find that a few other business owners feel the same way about this women. I recommend taking your business elsewhere, there are plenty of stores with grateful and welcoming employees who will appreciate your business more than...

The owners were incredibly rude. Our family stopped in to shop and some members of our family (two elderly and two teens) stayed on the side of the front porch (out of the sun as it was incredibly hot outside) while the rest of us browsed and purchased multiple items. When we walked outside our party was on the sidewalk waiting and said the female owner told them they had to get off the front porch. If I knew that before we made our purchases I would not have purchased. I went inside and asked her about it explaining they were with us and simply waiting for us...she made up some excuse that customers called her stating they couldn't get into the store because our party was obstructing the entrance....phone never rang while i was in that store for 15 mins and our party was all the way to the left not even near the front door. Additionally, while we were shopping she snapped at my relative who was in line to purchase an ornament and it fell on the floor breaking- the ornament string actually came loose which is how she was holding it and the owner eventually realized that. Not a pleasant experience- owners could be much for pleasant to...

My wife lives for Christmas to the point that she is planning and getting ready 6 months in advance. She was super excited to visit the Helen Christmas Shop when we were vacationing in Helen but during our visit to the shop we were followed around the entire time we were there and made to feel uncomfortable by being followed like we were some type of lowlife thief. My wife also held the door open for some old ladies that were leaving as we arrived and the lady behind the counter immediately started to gripe about the door being open. I finally had enough of being followed around and we left because we didn’t feel welcome in the store. My wife said it felt like the grinch came and sucked the Christmas spirit...
