Capitol — Restaurant in Houston

This venue hosted an event with the brand Vic & Cos. It was basically a scam. Both the venue and the brand should be embarrassed and reported. Their FB page said they expected 2000 people. Unfortunately, it was as if they setup for 200 people. We waited for almost 3 hours and never received food. One woman passed out from the heat and having to stand in line for so long. We left because we knew it would be at least another hour before we could maybe get what we paid for. We had to pay in advance and it was the biggest scam and ripoff.

Edit to add: They charged a 20% gratuity on all drink orders. No drinks were included with the tickets. Our drinks were $15. The bartender said it was $20. We gave him $100 and he didn't want to give us change because he thought we gave him a $20. And sorry but 20% on $15 is not $5! If you've ever been here, double check your credit card...

First time I came here was alright experience, because I knew the DJ on Sundays. But second time I came here with other friends, the security is so disrespectful and made my friends pay TWICE, because he said he felt like it. They are the most disrespectful people and even the cocktail waitresses are trying to hustle you for money. They will say they don’t have change for a $20 bill when the shots they give out are $5.. The alcoholic drinks at the bars don’t even have alcohol in them. ALL juice or chaser each drink was like $10 and they expect a tip. Definitely will not be back ever! DO NOT RECOMMEND. Fist time. Cool spot. Definitely has potential but the waitress never came around after the second drink. I was there for 4 hrs so I just started going to the bar. The bar staff was great for the most part, except one guy mocking my friend. Two hours later, I had to look for the waitress to get my ID since I was ready to go. Then when I found her, she was with some guys in the corner talking/laughing with the other waitress. At least act like your working when you’re goofing off. Look busy. She still never went to check on my friends that stayed 30mins later. They had to call me to figure out where to get there IDs as well. Maybe better staff will be there during...
