Just went today for lunch but had to throw my large bowl with salmon away. It smelled fishy when I went into the establishment but I thought ya they serve fish, it’s probably fine. Got home just now and opened my bowl and it smelled very fishy. Tasted the salmon and it’s gone bad. It tastes very sour and smells like it’s been sitting out in room temp for awhile. This really sucks because these bowls are $19 and I’ve never had issues with the quality of the fish until now. What a waste, I hope I don’t get sick. I’ll update if I do.

Just called to let them know their salmon is bad and they should probably stop serving it. Got told “ok I’ll look at it when I get a chance and I’ll let the manager know” as I hear them actively taking orders. I hope no one gets sick tonight but if they do - you’ll know what it was. No offer of compensation or anything else, no offer to bring the food back in and have it checked - no care at all.

Edit:* Just spoke with the manager she told me she had eaten the salmon and it was just fine and they had just gotten it today so it’s fine. Just because you got it today and just because you think it smells and tastes fine doesn’t mean it is. Just like you supposedly think I’m falsifying info because I think it’s bad. Your word isn’t proof and offering me a second bowl of the same spoiled product isn’t a solution. I won’t be back because it’s clear I can’t trust their quality control and with raw fish that is THE most important thing. I eat salmon multiple times per week as a pescatarian and I know good vs bad salmon which I’ve never experienced bad salmon at paddles up until today. I’m not just complaining because I lost $19, I’m complaining because this is dangerous and they don’t get it. I hope everyone stays safe...

I absolutely love this place. I've been going here ever since the owner came in to our Entrepreneurship class at Boise State and spoke to us about his business. I just visited the downtown location and noticed they raised their prices quite a bit. The medium fiesta bowl is now $15 without tip. The original $12 price point was a little high, but for the quality of food you're getting, was reasonable. This is now comparable to a sit down restaurant and exceeds a casual lunch spot price point in my opinion. I'd rather go to a cheaper spot twice, like Costa Vida, than this place once. I unfortunately won't be returning until their prices are lowered again.

Edit: Sorry about hanging up, Dan. I got back to the office and couldn't talk on the phone. I appreciate you reaching out to me and clarifying the logistics of this decision.

I definitely want to support this business and I will definitely be returning, just not as frequently for now. Your quality of food is much higher than any other downtown lunch spot and I didn't mean to infer Costa's bag prepped meat was a direct substitute to your poke bowls.

Costs have gone up for everyone. While I'd love to support your business every day of the week, it's just not as affordable for me either. Though, I will certainly be returning when I can.

I'm updating this from a 3 star to a 5 star review based on your excellent customer service and taking the time to talk with me. Thanks again for the clarification and best of luck with you and your business. Hope to...

I love paddles up food and have eaten there quite a few times. The food always tastes great and is quick and convenient for people who work down town. However the last five times I have gone there there has been some kind of issue. The first time I went this year there card reading machine was down and after trying to swipe my card about 10 times asked if I could pay cash. Luckily I had cash that I needed to use for something else and was able to pay for the food that way. The next time I went I had preordered and walked down to avoid paying delivery fees. I was told the card machine was out again after my card had been tried about 30 times. I was asked to pay in cash again and when I told them I did not have any cash I was told I should walk around the corner of the building to the ATM to get cash even though the withdrawal fees are $5.00 I declined and had to request a refund for the food. Today after ordering for a meeting only two of the four orders showed up. After calling to see if they had been left behind I was told I could request a refund for the two meals not delivered, but would need to reorder which would charge delivery fees again. It seems like there is a problem every time ordering here which is too bad because the food...

Tried this place for lunch with some friends. I had a build your own bowl with chicken, brown rice, zoodles, with spicy sauce and all the veggies. I was impressed with the freshness of the ingredients. The food was delicious and I liked all the options for customizing to your individual taste. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. My friends each got the Bronco bowl and they both enjoyed their meal and commented the tuna was fresh and yummy. Cons: -They serve everything in plastic, have plastic utensils, and have plastic water cups...even if you’re dining in. Enough said. -I felt like it was pretty expensive for the small portions of food you get. I got a small bowl, which was $12 ($10 for the bowl, plus tip and tax). I had complimentary water. I left the restaurant feeling a bit hungry. I could have gotten a medium or large for $2 more for each increased size, but that seemed like a lot to spend for lunch, not including chips or a drink. If they made a lunch special for $10 that included a bowl, side, and drink, I would be inclined to come back more often.

(My pic is from my previous review in Feb 2021 for reference/history). Today (5/19/2021) we ordered lunch for our work through Paddle's Up Poke's website. It was for our entire team at work, 17 people/items (about $230 worth!). Our boss did pickup and when he got back to our lunchroom, 2 of our co-worker's food was missing! So our boss went back and picked up their food (he had to wait for it to be made), but it was delayed and so those co-workers had to wait to have lunch. The food at Paddles Up is good, but this is the 3rd time we've ordered from Paddles Up and they continue to mess up our order or forget items. I get that it is a big order and things can get messed up, but also, if it is a big order - make extra sure that it is right please! I hope the owner or the restaurant reaches out to comment on this and resolves it in some manner (to restore faith in us so that we'll order from them again. So far, it's been 3 out 3 times where something has gone wrong). I love local restaurants and hope they and us can get past this.
