Here's the corrected version:
"Seriously, you couldn't pay me to go back to this place. Let me explain why: There's this blonde staff member with a terrible attitude who ran my card three times when I forgot to unlock it. After paying $38 for a burger and two Guinness (which was outrageous), they accused me of being broke and threatened to deduct the cost from their paycheck.
Then, when I tried to buy a hoodie, my bill jumped to $95. I assured them I had enough on my card, but they made me take it off anyway. Later, I had trouble with my card because of their multiple attempts to charge it, triggering a fraud alert.
I live nearby, so I casually walked in the next day to settle my tab (minus the hoodie) and didn't return for weeks. When I did go back, they publicly accused me of skipping out on my bill, which wasn't true. I ended up having to pay before being served, even though I was hungry.
I own a reputable company and always tip well, but every time I came in, that same rude staff member would 'pre-authenticate' my card and shame me in front of everyone. They would also ignore my requests and let my beer sit empty. My burger always came overcooked, and they never remembered my condiments, even after asking multiple times.
However, there was one good bartender who didn't engage in this behavior, and I tipped them generously each time.
In the end, I realized I'm closer to Brick House, which offers a much better experience. While my absence might not impact their business much, they're losing potential regulars. Remember, the customer is always right, and humiliating someone is never acceptable, especially when that customer could purchase the restaurant with Last months...
Read moreBrownie’s “The Shed” Grill & Bar is close to where we live, but we’ve never gone there to eat. I thought maybe it’s too late, but tonight their hours showed they keep late hours. We went in and they were busy but Jenna greeted us and we seated ourselves. She was at our booth within seconds. We ordered our drinks and she was back very quickly with our glasses. We asked her about their burgers and we decided to go with the Maker Mark’s Burger. It was a grilled half-pound angus beef burger with their homemade Markers Mark gourmet sauce, bacon & swiss cheese, served on a toasted brioche bun. It was delicious!! We watched a Trivia show on a TV and we got about 5 out of 7 correct and stopped watching as soon as Jenna brought up the most beautiful burger that smelled soooo good! We enjoyed eating and talking. She brought Phil a Diet Coke refill. There appeared to be a lot of regular customers in Brownie’s. The restaurant had a normal volume, even though it was full. I think it was the great decor inside. It was wood and half way down, sheet metal. Pictures were hung all over the walls, football players, scenery and over our table was a picture to honor Bob. He had been a customer for years and then passed way. It was a super comfortable restaurant. They had appetizers, homemade soups, salads, quesadillas, wings, burgers and Signature Sandwiches, that could be ordered as a Sandwich or Wrap. Soon we started hearing thunder. We hurried on to the front door so we didn’t have to swim to the car! Lol! I grabbed a Brownie’s brochure so we could check it out to see what we would order for our next visit. Jenna walked us to the door and no, we didn’t have to...
Read moreEnded night one of Louder than Life with a couple of friends and we were looking for someplace to grab a bite to eat at 11p at night. We were specifically trying to avoid a fast food restaurant. Started by trying IHOP and once again similar to last year when we were at the same event the dining room was closed and it was down to online orders only. Assuming this is a staffing issue but not sure. We went across the street to the waffle house and it had a stand-up wait just to order and no available seats. Definitely a busy night. Finally saw that Brownie's was open and called they said they were serving food until 11:30p we drove over and we were immediately seated. The place was busy and they had the Steelers vs Browns game playing and it felt like they also had pretty limited staff but the team handled it like they knew what they were doing. We ordered our food. I ordered the Maker's Mark Burger (as seen above) with waffle fries, my buddies ordered a Shed Burger and the other one got the Double Dipped Wings. Food came out pretty quickly and everything tasted great! Burger was cooked just the way I like it and I was able to try the Dry Rubbed Double Dipped Wings (recommended by the server) and they were fantastic! While this wasn't a culinary experience I will say it was great food and great prices. It is not often you have options in the $8-$13 range in a sit down restaurant nowadays. I will be back again and this will become a great option for me when it gets to be a little later in the night. If you're debating on trying them out...
