Today's lunch experience was horrible went and ordered the number 13 shrimp sandwich I noticed the young lady whose name is Irene aka the owner daughter was in the back cleaning off the counters touching on a trash can with bare hands one of the front staff asked her if she can fix a shrimp sandwich. Hands her the shrimp to be used Irene then finishes cleaning grabs gloves and then starts to make the shrimp sandwich my sandwich at that I told the person that's in the front that Irene DIDN'T wash her hands before she went to put on gloves and she was just touching on a trash can. The lady at the front did take care of my sandwich instead of Irene. Definitely Irene needs to be re-educated on cross-contamination and how important it is to wash your hands. I just so happen to call her out on it and other customers heard me and it just happen to be a lady in there that's a regular customer who stated (Irene does stuff like that all the time such as touch the money than the food I never washing her hands) I looked at that customer really crazy cause I wouldn't keep coming here if I know that she's always doing stuff like that! That's just nasty!!! Thanks but no thanks at this location. I would like to say the lady that did take over for Irene was very on top of constantly washing her hands. I know this cause the wait was so long and that's what I observed and then she told Irene what was expected of her as far as cleanliness of her hands went....
Read moreWe have been coming here weekly for over a year because we do laundry next door, but after tonight's experience I will not be back. We ordered our usual, four dinners and a few extras totaling about $50. They put out PART of our order, but we waited for approximately 20 minutes for the fourth meal. My son's meal. What was that about? Were 3 of us supposed to eat in front of him while he waited? Or were we supposed to watch our food get cold while he waited for his? I finally went up to speak with the manager. The person at the counter yells back to her that I want to talk to her. Nothing. She yells again after me and another dissatisfied customer start talking. Nothing. Finally the third time she yells across the kitchen, the manager comes to the front. She couldn't have been more apathetic if she tried. She shrugged our wait off, hands me my son's meal which had apparently already been done and boxed, and when I asked what we were supposed to do with the 3 cold dinners. She just says "they had to make more chicken." Like that excuses the wait. In case you're wondering, your shrimp and fish dinner is repulsive cold. Not that it looked fresh when I got it. The exposed filet where the breading had come off was brown and chewy. Upon cooling, it had all the mouthwatering texture of a used tire. Tonight I spent $50 to go hungry. Papa Johns just became our new laundry...

Stopped by for a bite to eat. Popeyes food is pretty good. However, what makes the difference between a good Popeye's and a bad one, 9/10, deals with the Employees.
I ordered the loaded fries with the cashier Layanna. She placed the order as normal. What stood out was that she looked at what she was serving. It looked like there was a lack of bacon on my loaded fries. (Mind you, there was bacon, just very little.) She asked if I wanted more bacon... Obviously, I did. Unfortunately, they ran out. This is when the tag teammate Jaylene came through and offered a piece of chicken to make up for it. Long story short, I got a drumstick AND a biscuit.
My bacon wasn't lacking that much. I didn't need anything extra either. However, I REALLY appreciated the concern and attention, something I RARELY see at higher priced restaurants. Next time I choose Popeye's over the other restaurant, it's because of servers like Layanna...
