Lunch on date above. Fat Stan's is well placed off of Main Street, close to shops, the waterfront, and the lumberjack thing. Great location.
Very busy place and we had to wait for a table, maybe ten minutes. Not bad, but just know there are plenty of folks here. Our table was very small and it felt crammed with other tables. You order at a counter, and food is brought to you. This is a sports bar, so expect the offerings of drinks as such.
We started with the Stuffed Bites ($18). Basically, bacon, cheese, and garlic rolled into crust. These were ok, but we didn't find them wowing. Somewhat dry and bland. Needs sauce to get through them. VERY filling and hearty.
Our main was Classic (10‐inch for $22). This is a pepperoni pizza essentially. Good version, and we liked the crust and somewhat sweet sauce. Great job here.
Our food came out fairly quick, and they did stagger our starter with our main.
Some nitpicking, but the only napkins on the table are bar napkins. You know, the square ones that go under drinks. We had to use a bunch of these. Also, our tiny table wasn't really cleaned off too well. Maybe short staffed, maybe difficulty keeping up with the mass of patrons, but details can make this a...
Read moreFood After leaving the lumberjack show, we set out to find a place to eat. We stepped inside and waited a few minutes for a table. At the counter, we ordered jalapeño poppers, a pepperoni pizza, a soda, and a canned mojito. Unfortunately, the jalapeños had not been cooked before being topped with mozzarella cheese and bacon, leaving them a bit too crunchy for my taste. The pizza was decent, but neither dish was compelling enough for us to return.
Service We placed our order and paid at the counter. One staff member managed the order counter while another worked at the bar. However, there were no employees available to check on customers or refill drinks.
Atmosphere and Location This restaurant is conveniently located just a short distance from the cruise port, right next to The Fish House and the Lumberjack Show. The space feels cramped, with supplies stacked in the walkways and tables positioned very closely together. There is not a...
Read moreI love coming here after work to hang out with friends and eat Stan’s delicious pizza! The two pizzas I crave the most from here are the Palmer and/or the Three Little Pigs. Just get them both and eat the rest the next day.. or two, but please make sure you get an extra side of ranch. This ranch is special.. I’m not usually a “ranch” person, personally I fall more on the hot sauce side of the scale, but their ranch is super thick (apparently it is sour cream based), so it’s more like a ranch “spread” and they even have a spicy ranch version with tapatio hot sauce thrown into the mix (you know, for when I feel like I’m betraying my hot sauce heritage because I’ve been eating so much pizza with ranch). It’s just a great place, very much a local hangout. I...
