July 31, 2025 i Ordered a rice bowl at 1509 lafayette pkwy lagrange, ga. The younglady J was nearing end of preparing as begin putting sour cream on my bowl, I told her the sour cream has tomatoes in it and I dont eat tomatoes. She proceeded to stick her index and thumb fingers in my food to pick out the tomatoes. I think told her that I did not want that bowl because she stuck her fingers in my food. Her reply was "I have on gloves". I told her that is unsanitary and not acceptable and please start my bowl again. She laughed with sarcasm and hollered over to a coworker " fix her bowl". When the coworker approached I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager. I proceeded to tell him what happened. He showed little concern of her actions, because of the late hour and the choices for food i eat was limited, i allowed him to prepare my bowl. I reached out to the corporate office to report the experience . I received a reply back from corporate representative stating this was definitely unsanitary and unacceptable. She asked me to send in a copy of the receipt and they would work out a solution to my satisfaction. I sent it to her. Then i received an email on August 4th as follows:
"I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you encountered. To make it right, I would like to invite you back for a better experience.
As a token of our apology and appreciation, I’ve added two free drink offers to this email for you to use within the next 30 days."
I replied back, that this was not acceptable because I dont drink sodas or any of the beverages chipotle offers. My orders have always been a rice bowl only. As of today August 14, still no reply. This is unfortunate because I thought more of the restaurant chain integrity. This unsanitary experience at this one restaurant cause me not to want to ever visit chipotle again. Read moreWe decided to try the new location on a Sunday evening. We placed one order on the app for store pickup. When we arrived, there were lots of guests waiting for pickup orders as well as standing in line to order. We stood in line for a while to order and started hearing staff yell “How much longer for rice?” They told someone they were out of steak. As we got to the counter for our turn to order, the staff told us they were out of soft taco shells for kids. They would not allow us to order one burrito shell for the kids meal. So I ordered mine, a rice bowl when she told us they were out of rice. Then proceeded to tell us they were out of rice, steak, queso, guacamole, and one other item. They should’ve put a sign at the door. Then I asked about my online order (which was to have these things on it and was supposed to be ready 16 min prior) and she said I would have to go down to the register and ask for a refund. I spoke to the manager at the register who said she would sit down that evening and issue requests to corporate for refunds from the day and it would be processed in 3-5 days. 3 days later, I tried calling the number online which said it was a non working number. So I went back to the location and she promised it would be on there within the 3-5 days. Well it’s been 9 days, no refund. So I finally had to get online and chat with Chipotle directly to get them to void the transaction (which was never voided) and issue a refund which I’m told now will be 3-5 days. Read moreI like chipotle and I have no complaints with the food, and I know that people are gonna continue to go here even despite this review but over the last several visits and when I say several, I mean like 4 to 5 because I’ve tried to keep this to myself because I understand people have bad days, but the customer service there has declined drastically as someone who loves to come and enjoys chipotle tremendously the sever rushed us through the line And there was no need for a rush because it was just my wife and I I could see if the line was long, then A rush would be appropriate, but over the last several occasions there’s been this dry disposition towards the customers dare I even say a sort of disdain, I remember on one occasion the server mixed the corn and the sour cream and the pico de gallo and the guacamole all with one spoon, again if the line is long I get doing what you have to do because of a rush but it was just me that day, they don’t seem to be sincere about what you really want in your order, All they seem to care about is to knock you out like cattle, And that’s unfortunate because I consider Lagrange to be a family friendly city where you can enjoy your meal during a family outing but when you have servers like we had today treat you the way we have been retreated it will make you wanna leave a review :/ anyways like I said I know people are gonna still go and I will but for those who have any kind of control over these issues of The level of customer service we are receiving here, I think it’s imperative that there be some changes.
