Last night a friend and I decided to come eat and have drinks at your long Beach location after finishing work. We are members of the press in the Los Angeles area, doing media coverage for various major TV Networks. NBC, KTLA, FOX, CNN and various On-Line news outlets. We were on assignment working media coverage at the Grand opening of The Queen Mary's Dark harbor Halloween which is just minutes away from your Long Beach location. After finishing work, we stopped to eat at your restaurant. We were told to sit anywhere we liked. we found a booth table by the wall, next to the kitchen entrance. a very nice and respectful young lady by the name of Valerie offered us drinks to which we placed our order with her. As we waiter for our drinks, my friend and I started to review footage and photos we had captured during our assignment at the Queen Mary using our cellular phones connected to a portable battery source since we had been working long hours and our phones battery where nearly finished. moments later Valery returns to inform us that there are no photos of the server girls allowed and some of the girl where getting unconformable with us using our cellular phones. We are very well familiar with that there is no photos allowed to which we were not doing any. we were simply reviewing content we previously already had in our cellular phones . a few minutes later the manager on duty who's name we did not get since he was not wearing a name tag. He asked us to please turn our phones around to face the wall and to not take pictures. we informed him once again as we previously had mentioned to Valery our server that we are not taking pictures and we are simply viewing content on our phones. he said to just turn to face the wall and that he did not want any troubles or to have to come tell us again. OK, no problem we'll face the wall and we did. A very short few minutes later, he comes back once again, slaps our check on the table and tells us to pay our bill and get out in a very firm tone of voice. we asked what is the problem or hats happening he says that he had already warned us to not take pictures and to turn to the wall, we once again told him we have not taken any photos and that we HAVE been facing the wall as he had previously asked us to do YET he is telling us in a very strong tone of voice and rude manner, an I quote "I don't care, I'm the manager and I do what I want" we were very shocked at the way he spoke to us, very unprofessional repeatedly saying "I don't care, I'm the boss" we were very respectful to him as we had been with our server. however he firmly insisted and repeatedly kept saying that he did not care I requested to speak with his superior who he mentioned was someone by the name of Alvino, and yet again that he did not care if we talked with him. He then asked us to just leave and not pay our bill. We had not even got our food and had only had a few sips our beer. We were very disappointed in the way this night shift manager treated us and repeatedly saying he does not care what we say or do to just get out. I can suggest to review your security camera footage , find us on the table booth located by the kitchen table during the hours of 10 to 10:30 pm Thursday, September 26th. 1 slim bald Hispanic, and 1 shorter pony tail Hispanic guy and you will clearly see we did not do any of the things your night shift manager claims we did to kick us out of your restaurant. I wonder if he would now care if we send our Media outlets to report a segment on today's local news networks on the way we were treated.
we hope you take the time to review your security camera footage, as well as discipline your night shift manger in the highest level. We where very disappointed at the way we where treated and asked to leave for reason that...

Read moreI recently visited your Long Beach location on 10/27/24 from around 6:30-7:15pm with plans to enjoy a quick appetizer and then order a larger meal to-go. When we arrived, we were asked if we would be tipping before being seated, which set an unwelcoming tone. Nonetheless, our server was initially pleasant, and we proceeded with our meal.
The experience took a disappointing turn as we finished and paid the $200 bill while leaving a $30 tip. Two servers approached us, and one asked if we were leaving soon. I jokingly replied, “Dang, you kicking us out?” She started to laugh, but her coworker, with a sailors hat, cut in abruptly, saying, “Yes, you need to hurry up because we have people trying to come in, and you’re taking up space.” Given that there were over 13 open tables, this felt uncalled for and made us uncomfortable.
I raised my concern with the manager, who left briefly to “investigate.” During the wait, other servers approached us, attempting to downplay the situation, explaining that the server in question was “just like that” and claiming it wasn’t meant to come off as rude. Meanwhile, the original server was pacing nearby, cursing under her breath and telling us to “hurry up and get the hell out of here.”
The manager returned with a quick sorry but did not acknowledge our concerns fully. Although he granted a refund for the meal, he refused to refund the tip, responding dismissively, “Too bad, you aren’t getting it back.”
This experience did not meet the level of hospitality I associate with Hooters. I'll probably never return to a hooters establishment again due to this experience.
Manager was a small hispanic man and Viviana is the name on the receipt but I do not know if this is the...
