Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Been here a few times, the owner who owns this location, silverlake, whilshire and others are breaking the law and scamming customers out of bag fees. I was getting a sandwich for my daughter and I asked for no bag (which in the State of California, customer do not need to have a bag), they refused to refund the fees. Other stores do not charge the bag fees. I am reporting this practice to the state environmental body and BBB, as they are breaking the law forcing a bag fee when customer do not want the bag. SB-270, does not allow stores to profit from bag fees. Some people may read this and not understand why I've written about a 10 cent fees. It adds up, I've had to pay $2 even though I do not want a bag. So, for every customer that decline a bag, the store keeps the 10 cent fees, therefore, making a profit from bag fees.

California SB-270 - (f) A store, as defined in paragraph (1) or (2) of subdivision (g) of Section 42280, shall not require a customer to use, purchase, or accept a single-use carryout bag, recycled paper bag, compostable bag, or reusable grocery bag as a condition of sale of any product.

They continue to raise prices, sandwiches are over 10 to 15 for a regular. The vegetarian is nothing but cheese and...

Update: 6/5/25. Walked into a completely empty store with two employees making online orders. Ordered my food and I kid you not, it took over 15 minutes to get my sandwich. Never felt like less of a priority. This location is way too lax. Can’t stand the lack of hustle here. For such an expensive franchise sandwich…this place doesn’t do it right at all. Extremely disappointing

I just had the strangest experience at this place. First, I was standing there waiting for like a solid 4 minutes and nobody even acknowledged me. Then another customer walked in and had a weird quiet conversation with the lady making my sandwich. After she put the meat on the sandwich I noticed it looked like half the amount normally on it…she denied it and told me if I want more it will cost more. I have no idea who manages this place and this girl appeared to be the boss of the others…but this place is sketchy. Unacceptable experience. This was only my second time at Jersey Mike's subs. I love that they cut the near right there. The bread was delicious and the veggies were light and fresh and the dressing was perfect. Although they were busy, the staff was cheerful and got it order out quickly. If you happen to visit this specific location, I recommend going directly to the underground parking rather than waiting for a ground level parking spot. People were just looking up and waiting (and honking fairly consistently). I got a number four combo and it came in at just over 12$ (with a10% tip... Which I am not accustomed to paint at a sub shop but their POS system makes you go through a tip screen before accepting the charges and I felt compelled to not select no tip. When I tipped, the cashier rang a bell and the entire crew shouted "thank you!".

Overall, the service was great and the sandwich was delicious but I felt like the price...
