Amazing food, ambience, and service!!
Very much a special occasion experience. Guests will be impressed. I can’t wait to go back.
After the first bite I started taking pics of the food because I knew I would be leaving a review.
Bread with butter shaped like a fried chicken drummette was gourmet and whimsical and had caviar. So appreciated. This is not your run of the mill menu, this is culinary art.
Tempura lemon pepper Brussels sprouts were a home run. Must try.
Duck fat fries: delicious and well executed. Not really fries but puréed on the inside and crisp on the outside. If you’ve never had potato prepared like this before you are in for a delicious experience. The dipping sauce is topped with caviar and we give thanks.
Duck: another home run. Super flavorful and delicious and creative. Great portion. I would get this entree again.
Lamb: small portion plated beautifully. I loved the green side dish, collard greens snitzel or something like that. I loved it. I would order the side by itself. I don’t think the lamb was one of the highlights especially not with the way my friends devoured the burger and the snapper!!
I want to come back and try the whole menu!
Dessert was the peach pie and the bread pudding. The bread pudding was delicious! The peach thing was dry and disappointing. The chef came by and checked in on us. He was very personable and shared that he never liked peach cobbler so his take on it was very crust forward because to him, the crust is the best part….so I guess it helps to know that he made it like that on purpose…but my table of 4 didn’t even bother finishing it.
All in all fantastic experience. Would recommend to everyone. I saw a very diverse room and everyone seemed to be comfortable and enjoying themselves. The bar was lively. The room is gorgeous.

Read moreI like to dine solo and I know some places generally don’t vibe with that, so I keep a little of that in mind when I go somewhere new. I tried Linden last night because I’ve been craving some high-quality food that reminds me of home in the Bronx.
Let’s start with the good stuff. The food was crazy delicious. If I could buy the Sunset Salad prepackaged and eat it daily, I would! It had different textures, a little sweetness, some tartness, and the creamy flavor of the goat cheese that just made it impossible to leave anything left in the bowl. For my main, I had the Lobster Frites. It was good, but idk if it was $88 good. Plus I asked for something to go with the fries and they charged me an extra $4 for that. I was surprised by that because any sort of frites just normally with a sauce. They also didn’t have proper utensils for the lobster, which was not awesome. I made the best of it I could, but I feel like they should have been better prepared. My dessert was the bread pudding and it was special. I was doing my happy food dance most of the night despite the hiccups.
My server was okay, but it did seem like she didn’t really want to deal with me as a solo diner. I never even heard the specials and all of my drinks were empty by the time my dessert came out. She never once asked if I wanted anything more to drink. I dropped $200 by myself and it probably would’ve been more if I had been treated as kindly as any other groups there.
Overall, I’d recommend Linden, even if my service experience wasn’t the best. Maybe just go with someone else, so they...
Read moreUsually a restaurant has amazing food OR delicious drinks OR exquisite ambiance, not generally ALL THREE! Had dinner at Linden for my birthday yesterday and it excelled my expectations. Appreciated the reservation reminder, was greeted right away by security upon walking in and the friendly face of the host. We were seated in a space that gave us privacy which I appreciated, we even had a celebrity spotting! We were taken care of in a timely fashion. My partner and I ordered a few items off of the menu, I am a vegan, he is not. We got the Smoked Jack Fruit & Cabbage, Lobster Roll, Pan Seared Mushrooms, Fire Roasted Broccolini, Fries, a Beer and 2x Jalisco Sours. With food, drinks and tip, we spent about $185. Everything was so tasteful, it really opened up some palettes that have not been explored in a while or actually, at all. Our server was kind and knowledgeable. Supporting this Black owned and operated restaurant was the cherry 🍒 on top! I look forward to visiting again. Thank goodness we have leftovers, everything was delicious, I am blown away though by the broccolini and the Jalisco sours, the chefs and bartender really outdid themselves with those menu items! From start to finish, our experience was consistent. I wish this establishment continued success! We even was gifted birthday sorbets, I believe it was blood orange lemon, and with a candle. It is clear that the Linden team is thoughtful and values the patrons. I highly recommend LINDEN! You will definitively feel the culture, the love and...
