I really really wanted to like this place! It is very aesthetically pleasing, with attention to detail, nice color scheme and even little treats by the entrance. I basically chose this place because of how nice it looked. I was hoping the quality of interior design would mean quality service as well, but unfortunately, it was kind of like any other cheap salon, without the cheap prices. I felt like I was intruding, when I was seated among 5 other workers who were on break, talking and laughing, playing loud tiktoks and doing basically everything that is totally normal, but maybe in a back room? Or during a lunch break? The person who was doing my nails would stop and show something on their phone and laugh with other workers the entire time of the service. Sometimes I would have to assume when yo change hands myself because he was so busy with the conversation with his colleagues. Above that, he gave me a lot of colors to choose from, not informing me some are extra paid. It ended up being $45 for basic gel manicure and $18 just for the special color; $63 for gel manicure đ
Also, it might be just me, but the nail person was not wearing gloves and using his own nails to get under mine to clean extra polish which gave me the ick!!! If youâre sensitive to that kind of stuff, I donât recommend. Hopefully the service gets better because again the location...
Read moreI hate giving poor reviews but this was one of the most frustrating and painful nail experiences I've ever received. I wouldn't recommend this place if it were the last salon on earth. I've been getting nail art done for a long time, and never in my entire life has it taken over three hours to get a manicure. I walk in for my 2 PM appointment and let the technician know that I have sensitive, eczema prone skin. The next two hours she cuts my cuticles to blood, whilst spraying acetone on all fingers FOUR different times. (Each time burned like the pits of hell.) Next I am told to wait 10 minutes until another technician who specializes in nail art is free. By now I'm already super antsy but I reluctantly agree. The second nail tech had to re-shape every nail, as a few were crooked from the first tech. She is rough as well and I bleed on a third finger. Finally at the 3 hour 15 min mark I am free. I told the "checkout" lady how unhappy I was and she didn't offer me any discount. On top of it all, the manicure I walked out with was lousy looking, considering I spent a quarter of my day there. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Lanicure Nail Bar.
UPDATE: One week in and a nail already cracked off. This has never happened to me before at other salons. Spending around 140 bucks on a manicure shouldnât result in it breaking...
Read moreThis place is wildly inconsistent. Never honor appointments and prices are unpredictable. Was seen for my 11 AM appointment at 11:35 today.
The first time I got my nails done I paid $165. They charge crazy prices if you do anything other than a solid color. Consider it easily $50 more. Once I learned that lesson I decided I wouldnât do any nail art anymore. My budget is for a basic pedicure and gel manicure.
The last 2 times I went I paid the same price and always bring cash to pay the cost of service + tip. This last time I went expecting my usual and they charged me $68 instead of the usual $45 because I got chrome? I didnât even know I got chrome! Lmao I literally thought I just got a sparkly color. Just to be clear, you should let your guests know if a color they are choosing is going to be an additional $16 plus $5 for gel removal. (Which is insane bc normally if you get the gel done there they waive the gel removal).
So $98 for gel/basic pedicure and $80 the 2 times before that and then like $168 the time before that. See photos of my 1 wide uneven thumb and the other rounded thumb. Photo of them side by side. That was my $68 chrome job. Again, all over the place. I tip generously from the price of service but I will not be returning because I donât like a spin the wheel price system and waiting 35 mins to be seen for a...
