Let me save anyone from eating at this god awful restaurant. We stayed at the hotel and thought it would be convenient to eat at. Good god it was the worst meal I ever had. I ordered the fish tacos and the tortillas were stale hard. The fish was so overcooked I couldn’t swallow it. My daughter had the caprese salad. The mozzarella was ok but the tomatoes had that grittiness when they are over ripe. My neice had a pasta with meat. The meet was inedible she just ate the pasta. Since we all hated the food (the truffle fries were the only ok thing) we thought dessert was in order. The s’mores cake sounded great but this is probably the only sweet I’ve seen us all turn away. They took off the dessert (the waitress actually said after the fact that it wasn’t a good one to choose) and my dish. In the customer service business they should have comped the entire meal as it ruined our...

DON’T COME HERE IF YOU DONT WANT TO FEEL SELF CONSCIOUS. I came here around 11 and sat at the bar. No one helped us until 11:25. Breakfast ends at 11, we ask if there is still a breakfast menu available. No. Okay that’s fine. We order two entrees and an app with a mimosa. We were here for three hours!! I had three mimosas!! I was laughing and enjoying my time, but essentially three glasses of champagne over three hours. I ordered one more. The bartender, Hugo, asked me “if I could handle another” to which I said “?? Yes?” He brought me a water and said “I’ll bring it to you in a few minutes” so I said “no that’s okay. Don’t worry about it.” When he brought us out check he apologized for cutting me off. It was extremely bizarre and super unnecessary. He made me feel weird for laughing and joking around with my fiancé. The soup was cold twice. Service is bad....

Is there anything less than one star? We made a reservation through OpenTable for 7pm... They were "just cleaning up" and suggested we wait in the bar for a few minutes. An hour later, after astoundingly slow serive in the bar 15 minutes of standing to get a drink) and several polite checks later, each of which was met with "Just a couple moments."… we were finally seated... In the bar region. We ordered immediately. Half an hour later, we asked how our meals were coming. The server (not ours, we never saw him again) came back after a few minutes and asked if we were waiting for our desserts. Nope. We waited another few minutes with no further updates or service. We walked out after 105 minutes, hangry. Kindergartners would be more competent. Save yourself the annoyance, this...

I was in town for work and wasn’t really on the move touring or looking for food far away as I needed to be local, so I basically had almost everything this place had to offer on the menu. The Barbocoa was absolutely their best dish on the menu so a quick shout out for that dish. The burger was pleasantly good as well, the chicken sandwich pictured with coleslaw and chipotle sauce was delicious as well. I had truffle fries for both sandwiches but they had regular fries and sweet potato as well for those in need of other options. The chicken empanadas were really good, so was the “Torta”. Didn’t really like the arroz con pollo but you can hit them all can you? Haha. Enjoy your meal if you are staying in the hotel itself it’s beyond convenient and open late with a wonderful looking bar.

Wasn’t impressed. The food looked good but was overpriced and bland. Service staff kept forgetting things and didn’t seem that interested in helping. Got sat at a table that wasn’t completely set and didn’t have all cutlery. Sat at the table for ages before even offered a drink. When I got a drink I got half a glass of wine and they said they would get me a full one next for free but I got charged for it. Didn’t have everything on menu or wine list either so had to choose a few times to get something they had. Won’t be returning. Can spend less money for a better meal elsewhere

Excellent contemporary cuisine. The Metropole Bar + Kitchen is located in the lobby of the Hotel Indigo in downtown Los Angeles. The menu is available in the bar area as well as at tables, and both have a chic atmosphere. The breakfast menu had granola crusted challah French toast, served with powdered sugar, berries, and maple syrup. Lunch and dinner menus have a cheese board and a grilled cheese with fries (the grilled cheese had plenty of bits of crispy cheese that seeped onto the grill!). Service was prompt and friendly.
