I have made various visits to Fogo this year. I have brought my mom, wife and kids and lately friends and business associates.
This place is hit or miss with meat cuts and customer service. Most of the time the Filet Mignon is on point medium or well done it is juicy and tender
The roasted chicken is similar to an oven roasted chicken from Ralph's.
The lamb chops are cooked and seasoned nicely but not much meat on each serving
Superb bacon 🥓 up at the salad bar. Even when its already cold.
Their sausage link is above average on taste
But its the customer service that makes me want to spend my money 💰 elsewhere....
Some staff are high energy, happy to serve you and on point with providing amazing customer service...
My favorite server is an older gentleman with a short pony tail.... soft spoken, speaks genuinely and pays attention to detail to ensure you leave with a positive and memorable visit.
But some of the female staff upfront need to stop complaining about being on their feet all day for what they get paid.
The reason this disturbs me is the hostess is more concerned on having an easy comfortable evening...
She should stay home 🏡 without pay if she believes carrying a pitcher of water to a few tables is hard work
I can afford Fogo because I have earned the money for it. I believe I have spent over 2,000 dollars there just this year
But I get more smiles and less complaints when I spend 14 dollars at in n out
Some servers at Fogo will no longer pay you any attention if you have paid their balance or given them a cash tip
Management should make sure their staff is there for the customer that supports the business that pays the employees...
Not let some employees make the customers feel like they are cash cows and entitled to their customers wallets
Hard work... I don't see anyone breaking a sweat at Fogo besides the dishwasher and chefs by the fire
I may stop by next time I'm in the mood for steak but will likely just go to in n out for a more simple and pleasant experience
Have a blessed day yall
And for the few amazing staff there may you be in the memories of the best customers who come back for an...
Read moreCame here for Valentine’s Day, came in knowing that it would be busy but the experience was extremely disappointing from the very beginning. We got here and were told to get in line to check in. We waited in line for about 30 mins, when we finally got to the front they asked us to wait while they got someone seated, someone came from the side without making line and they allowed them to check in before us. I asked why they asked us to wait in line and not others, we were told that we had to wait in line, that they didn’t realize that the person hadn’t waited although it was pretty clear that we were in a line.
Once we were seated the experience started off well. Waitress came, took our order, meats started coming around. We wanted to take a break and flipped our card to red. We ordered another drink, waited 20 mins and it never came. Another worker came and asked us if everything was ok and I asked about the drink, he left went to check and told us it was going to come out soon. He came back another 5 mins later and we still didn’t get the drink, he told the waitress she came apologized stated that someone else had taken the drink and it was going to be remade. Waited another 10 mins and the waitress told us that the bar was backed up. It took about 40 mins for the drink to come out and at that point we just wanted to leave.
While we waited for the drink we had flipped our cards back to green and their gauchos still weren’t coming around consistently. It got to a point where it seemed like they were avoiding us. They would go to the tables around us and not come to ours. At one point I had to loudly say “Oh I guess they’re just not going to ask if we want some” the server then came to ask if we wanted some. It was kind of ridiculous that it had to take that for him to come to our table.
I even asked our waitress if she could have them bring sausage to our table, she said she would yet they never came.
All that to say, I was very excited to have dinner here and left extremely...
Read moreMy experience here wasn’t the best, which was unfortunate given how excited we were to try out this place.
The first issue was the line. My friend waited i outside while I went inside to ask whether or not reservations had to wait. I noticed that the 4 receptionists at the front were allowing people to walk up past the line and check in, so I assumed that was simply the queue for something else.
It wasn’t until around 5-8 different groups signed up (from the sidelines) that the rest of us were told to line up, even though they had been previously ignoring the actual line. When we were closer to the front (after getting back in line) they allowed another group to just walk up and cut again.
We got over to quickly as our server was nice and polite, however, it all quickly went downhill :(
We placed an order for a single drink, and our server forgot. Another server came and we asked about the drink, only for him to later come back and ask about it again 15ish minutes later. So he placed it again. 10 minutes later, another server comes and we ask about it. It wasn’t until we were about 45 minutes in that our drink finally came, but by then we had already asked for the check.
It didn’t help that throughout all of this, the gauchos ignored our table. We asked a server if she could get some cuts to come around, and nothing.
I know it wasn’t due to how long we were there, given the fact that parties near us had been there for even longer :/
It was just truly unfortunate, to go over 40+ minutes with no meats (even though sections and tables around us are getting approached) and to have them forget a single drink — over 4 times.
I would’ve understood if it was due to understaffing on a holiday, but there was gauchos approaching most tables, they just avoided ours and another couples.
We were beyond excited to visit this place, but the experience was just terrible and disappointing, especially when compared to other Brazilian Steakhouses...
