Located on Level 1 of FIGat7th. Nice selection of designer bags and shoes (locked up in the showcase). Some of the selections that I saw when I went were Women’s Gucci loafers, sneakers, Chloe slip-on sandals, Gucci handbags, Men’s Gucci watches, and Longchamp travel bags and backpacks. Didn’t see very much selection of designer clothing though. Nice selection of in season TopShop clothings though. Also, very nice selection of make-ups (Burberry, Urban Decay, NYX).
Regarding customer service at this location, probably one of the best customer service experience that I’ve encountered at a Nordstrom Rack. Incomparable to customer service at locations like Nordstrom Rack at Beverly Center Connection.
Minus one star due to parking situation here. If you choose to park at the FIGat7th parking structure, you can enter the parking structure on 8th street. Once you park, REMEMBER which elevator you used to come up to the main floor because there are two elevator structures that leads up to the main floor. Once you get off the main floor, you have quite a long walk to FIGat7th. Take the escalator down to level 1 and Nordstrom Rack is there. They do validate parking but you still have to pay. I probably stayed for about 40 minutes and I ended up paying just $1.00. I believe under 3 hours (with validation), parking fee should be no more than $5. But this rate is only applicable on weekends and different rates apply on weekdays. If you choose to find street parking, good luck. There are some meter parking spots on Figueroa street but there are A LOT of stalled vehicles just temporary parked there....
Read moreI went there a few days ago with my mom after working out just look around for gifts and running shoes. One of the employees was following us the entire time which was really annoying because he wasn't going out of his way to do anything really, except when blocking the shoe aisles closer to the exit. It was really uncomfortable for my mom especially when we split up because she continued to be watched really closely by man who was not wearing a store uniform (plain clothes, pants and t-shirt) but I assume he works there because he was deep in casual conversation with the security guard at the entrance who seemed really oblivious and distracted. Mind you my mom has a significantly darker skin tone than me; I think it is valid to say she was profiled "to make sure she doesn't steal". Maybe it was because how we were dressed, (we were wearing casual clothing and had no pockets, no bags, only thing we had was our wallets and phone)but this is the only store in the entire mall it has ever happened at. Cashier was really...
Read moreI like that this location is close to work and that it doesn't get too crowded. However, I did not like my return experience there. I bought a pair of Dr. Marten mules a couple weeks ago. I really loved the shoes and planned to keep them so I removed the stickers with the bat codes that they put inside the shoes. Also there was no way to actually see if they fit properly without removing the stickers. Anyways I tried to wear them a few days later and one of my heels kept slipping out of the shoe so I had to take them off and put on some different shoes. Don't even wear them for more than 10 minutes. I ended up returning them but because I removed the stickers the manager refused to give me a refund and instead gave me a store credit. I was so disappointed with my experience that I have decided to close my Nordstrom account as soon as I pay it off in the next few weeks. So I now have to pay 30% APR for some shoes that I don't even get to keep? Sorry Nordstrom but your manager's math is...
