Pattern Bar — Restaurant in Los Angeles

My partner and I stopped in for a drink around 8pm after an early show at Orpheum. It was hard not to notice the shoddy construction/decor/fixtures everywhere. It looked like they need to just take a day to give a handy-person and cleaner a full pot o' coffee and just go to town giving the place some much needed attention. Drinks were so-so. The person who waited on us was friendly and did a fine job, but you could tell the rest of the crew were waiting for the place to transition into night and DJ to get there for the crowds to start showing up and giving them something to do. So in the meantime there was loud socializing of staff at and around the bar. Seems like more of a low-scale nightclub vibe where folks just come to get drunk and dance and don't care about all the broken and disheveled things. We were out on a Friday night here (7/22/22) and like any other Friday night, we were enjoying drinks and the music. What's different this time was somebody somehow bypassed the security at the front door entrance and it was mumbled by other patrons that someone from the outside started shooting there "gun" into the crowd inside the bar. A stampede ensued, everyone rushed to the end of the bar in the midst of confusion and I wasn't sure what was going on. It was later discovered it was supposedly a BB gun, but in the heat of the moment, a gun is a gun. The security out front didn't even look phased while the patrons inside we're clearly dazed and confused. Everyone left still confused and anxious of what had just happened. Open, airy and intimate bar located in the heart of fashion district. Bonus point for tying in the theme to the location :) The interior is well designed and I'm digging their logo.

Chill hipster ambience at night time. Their signature cocktail drinks are named after famous fashion designers, i.e. Dior, Chanel, McQueen!

I'm rating them for the bar scene, never had their food. The bartender/cocktail servers were attentive and quick with getting our drinks.

I love unique, well-branded places with a strong concept! Def a place i would recommend to people. The location is surrounded by other bars, which is great when you're ready for some more adventures after downing some Jacobs...
