Fried Chicken Sandwich in LA--Kitchen Bann

I recently discovered this Korean restaurant, and it has quickly become my go-to spot for authentic and delicious Korean fare. After missing out on their catering for a company event (60 sandwiches that disappeared before I could try one!), I made sure to visit their Koreatown location and savor their specialties. Let me rave about the must-try dishes that blew me away: Soy Garlic Fried Chicken: I'm obsessed! I couldn't resist devouring an entire box while driving. The sweet, slightly spicy, and garlicky flavors coating the boneless, crispy chicken are simply addictive. The owner proudly shared that their chickens are delivered fresh daily and fried in-house, putting American fast-food chains to shame. Tofu Japchae: Imagine a Korean stir-fry like no other! The sweet potato noodles are incredibly flavorful, and the fried tofu is an absolute delight. It's like a traditional Korean veggie dish, but elevated to new heights of deliciousness. Beef Bulgogi Sandwich: This signature item is the very sandwich that left my colleagues raving after our company event. One bite, and you'll understand why it's their bestseller – packed with mouthwatering Korean-marinated beef. Pork Belly Platter: A new seasonal addition that deserves a spotlight! Caramelized pork belly, paired with a sunny-side up egg, spicy cabbage, and rice – each forkful is a flavor bomb. I couldn't help but shovel it into my mouth, savoring every morsel of this heavenly combination. In short, this restaurant is a true gem, Whether you're a seasoned Korean food lover or a curious newcomer, this place is an absolute must-visit.

I had never heard of this Korean spot in LA until my friend recommended it. What a hidden gem!The Spicy Pork Belly Rice Bowl was so addictive! The pork had the perfect lean-to-fat ratio and the spice level was just right to excite the taste buds without being overpowering. I couldn't stop eating it! The Korean-style Beef and Sweet Potato Noodles were also a winner. The lean beef was tender, not dry at all. And they gave you a huge portion of fresh veggies, making it feel light and healthy. We got the small size of the Soy Garlic Fried Chicken to share and it was the perfect amount for two people. The batter was insanely crispy and the sauce was rich and flavorful - a must for fried chicken fans! The Cheese Ball dessert wasn't my favorite as it felt a bit overpriced. And the seasonal drink would be a bit too sweet. The staff was so friendly, enthusiastically describing each dish. The food seemed like a healthier, less oily take on traditional Korean fare with toned down spice levels. No wonder it's popular with the gym crowd for takeout.

OMG—I can’t believe I just discovered this place, and I’m about to move out of LA! Bann is a small, super cute spot that’s perfect for a quick dine-in meal or grabbing something to go. The service is fast—I didn’t have to wait long at all for my order, which is always a plus.

I’ve ordered from Bann twice now—once through DoorDash and today for carryout. The first time, I got the spicy chicken bowl with extra chicken. It was so good! I wish it had a little more kick, but the flavor was on point—even when I reheated it the next day. Solid 10/10.

Today, I tried the beef bulgogi with extra beef, and wow—Bann nailed it! The flavor and texture were perfect. I love that sweet bulgogi flavor, and they really delivered. I would say there were a few too many onions for my taste, but still a strong 9/10.

The only downside for me is the white rice—it’s a bit too mushy and clumpy. But honestly, that’s a small thing compared to how tasty everything else has been. I’ll definitely be back at least once more before I leave...
