As a passionate foodie and a lover of all things sweet, my visit to Mochinut was nothing short of a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped into the shop, I was greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked donuts, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary adventure.

The star of the show at Mochinut is, undoubtedly, their signature mochi donuts. These treats are a perfect fusion of traditional American donuts and Japanese mochi, resulting in a texture that is uniquely chewy, soft, and utterly delectable. Each donut is a masterpiece of flavors and textures, leaving your taste buds dancing with joy.

What truly sets Mochinut apart is their innovative approach to flavors. I had the pleasure of tasting a variety of their offerings - from the classic glaze, which was a perfect balance of sweet and savory, to the more adventurous flavors like matcha, ube, and black sesame. Each flavor was distinct, rich, and satisfying, showcasing the creativity and skill of their bakers.

The shop itself exudes a cheerful and cozy ambiance, making it an ideal spot for a quick treat or a leisurely snack. The staff at Mochinut deserve a special mention for their friendly and attentive service, enhancing the overall experience.

For anyone with a sweet tooth or a penchant for trying new and exciting flavors, Mochinut is a must-visit. It’s not just a donut shop; it’s a celebration of flavors, textures, and culinary artistry. I left with a happy heart and a satisfied stomach, already planning my next...

Mochinut donuts are a unique and fun twist on traditional donuts, combining the chewy texture of mochi with the familiar sweetness of a donut. Each bite has a bouncy, soft texture that’s unlike anything from a regular donut shop. The shape — a ring of connected balls — makes them easy to pull apart and share.

The flavors are where Mochinut really shines. They offer a wide variety, from classic glazed to more adventurous ones like matcha, ube, churro, and black sesame. The donuts are often beautifully decorated and have a lightly crispy outside with a satisfyingly chewy interior.

Price-wise, they are a little more expensive than your typical donut, but you’re paying for something that’s freshly made, visually appealing, and a little bit different. They are perfect for when you want a sweet treat that’s a bit out of the ordinary.

Overall, Mochinut donuts are a must-try for anyone who loves chewy desserts, Asian-inspired flavors, or just wants a fun and...

went in for a late night snack with a friend and was thoroughly disappointed. the cashier looked miserable and dirty. we asked for a minute to look at the menu and we waited for nearly twenty minutes for him to come out the back room before he took our order. when he did, he rushed us. after telling him my second order, he immediately gave me my total, i told him that i wasn’t done, and he gave me a dirty look. he finished taking our order and went straight to the back without even telling us our total or confirming we were paying with card. when giving our orders, he did not even speak to us and just stood at the window with our orders expecting us to take it when we didn’t even know it was ours. he was rude and unprofessional. the entire time, the smell of weed was strongly coming from the back too. a toddler could have served me with better attitude and...

Tried this spot while I was in downtown LA and I’m still thinking about it. The mochi donuts were so good — perfectly chewy with a light crisp, and not overly sweet. Each flavor had its own vibe, but the black sesame one was hands down my favorite. Deep, nutty, and not something you find just anywhere. The shape of the donuts also made it so easy and fun to eat! The strawberry shaved ice was also super delicious — fluffy, packed with fresh strawberries, and just the right level of sweet. So refreshing, especially in LA heat. Paired it with the coffee frappe and everything just worked. You can tell a lot of care goes into what they serve — even the box had a sweet little note inside. The service was great too, warm and welcoming. It’s the kind of place you try once and instantly want to come back with a friend. Definitely worth checking out!

Please do not misunderstand the 3 stars. Too many people give 5 stars for average and 4 stars for poor I'm giving the original meaning of 3 stars which is average. The location of this place isn't bad it's on the middle of South Olive Street. The look of the place is clean enough. The food selection is very simple. I went with their "chocolate jouypong" Ill describe the taste as a "chewy donut" with a slight glaze of chocolate with flakes, im guessing they're called "jouypongs". It tastes alright. Overall i thought this place was average. Not bad just average, i would probably come back here if i were near by and wanted a snack. I do not think I would come here if I were far away or if I had different options available to me.
