I write this review with great trepidation as this new restaurant is a hidden gem that I fear will become so popular that getting a table may become a challenge!
Last week, we had a friend visiting from out of town. She had never eaten Thai food before, so we decided to take her to our go-to spot, Ruen Pair. When we pulled into the parking lot, at least ten people stood outside waiting for a table. We were famished, so waiting 45 minutes to an hour for a table wouldn't work. That's when we noticed Thai Central Cuisine just across the parking lot, a relatively new addition to the area.
Stepping inside, we found a tastefully decorated and impeccably clean restaurant. With growling stomachs, we decided to give it a shot - a decision we wouldn't regret. The food was a revelation. We ordered Seafood Tom Yum Soup, Crab Fried Rice, Penang Curry with Chicken, and Shrimp Pad Thai. The soup broth was the perfect combination of sweet and sour, filled with fresh seafood. The Crab Fried Rice was delicious and had generous amounts of crab meat, but the real standout was the Penang Curry, which was rich and creamy and packed with flavor.
If you are too hungry to wait for a table at Ruen Pair, head across the parking lot and try Thai Central Cuisine. I'm willing to bet that if you're like me, it will become your Thai restaurant of choice in Thai Town... but let's keep it our...

We ordered Tam Thaad (Picture and Description has grill Chicken). What we got is grilled pork instead (see picture).
The server never informed us of the meat replacement. We complained about it, but the server would offer any meat replacement.
While eating, my wife saw a piece of staple (see picture) on her food. We can't image what would happened if we chew or swallow the piece of metal. We don't know if there are more staples or other things that were served in our food.
We informed the server and she told us that they will remake the disk without the grill pork. We asked for a manager, but were informed that there is no manager at the restaurant.
We were so pissed off at their non-caring attitude (no apology for serving us food with staple) that we asked the to have the remake food togo.
The server gave us the check that included the desert item that was not delivered. We have to ask the server to remove the item.
When we got home and inspect whether what we got were really remade:
The "remake dish" was definitely just whatever in our plate earlier: No noodle. The salad have no crab meat at all. No meat (like they told us).
We are regular customers since we like some dishes here. This experience really makes us think about...
Read moreTraveled to LA for work and my wife being Thai wanted to visit Thai Town for obvious reasons. Spent a couple of days walking through and eating at several establishments, one of which was Thai Central. This place was also recommended by the staff at Thai Patio just down the way. We ordered some sour Isaan sausage as an appetizer which was pretty good. I also ordered the Pad Kra Paw Moo and my wife ordered YenTa Fo soup. The Pad Kra Paw Moo was ok but not spicy at all. The server didn’t ask what spice level I wanted so I assume they don’t think a farang can handle any spice. My wife commented her soup was very good. She said she felt “Thailand” in that dish. So the food was ok to good, the atmosphere was nice, but the big downer was the server. She was not happy and she let us know it. All in all I wouldn’t mind coming back to try some other dishes but my wife refuses...
