Kanomwaan Thai Gelato and Dessert Cafe — Restaurant in Los Angeles

My friend and I visited this place due to popular demand on TikTok and as expected, it was very busy but they seemed to try their best keeping up with each customer in due time. All of the staff looked really young though, which worried me since the environment was looked really stressful. We waited about 10 mins for a table and 30 mins in line and realized why when I saw about 6 tables in the entire store. For being so popular, I’d expect a higher customer capacity inside the store since their parent company at ruen pair does just fine while having more customers. The food visuals were really good but the flavor didn’t live up to the hype.. for 17 dollars??? The shaved milk was just basically ice, no flavor and it was disappointing. I tried taking a photo of the food but I honestly couldn’t find a clean wall to take it in front of… made me scared to eat the food wondering if it was dirty too. I’d come here again if the owners cared more about the sanitary safety for the customers! I see so much potential for this place but isn’t fully living up to it yet. Hope to come back when...

Don't come here alone, it's definitely a place for group to try different things.

This is not a place to ask for chocolate, strawberry or vanilla gelato. They have so many interesting ice cream flavors. Tom Yum spicy is their newest, but they rotate the flavors regularly, check it out if you love to try something new. Their basic flavor like coconut milk and butterfly pea is very very smooth and good too. They made Thai tea fresh order by order - The best if you don't like those pre-made sweet drink. We ordered special February menu, Tubtim Siam Shave ice (pink). It's super super refreshing. The toast with Thai tea Custard topped with Pandan ice cream is also phenomenon. Everything was so good, I will come here again...

When I placed my order, I was not informed whether I could take the food to go or dine in. After the food was prepared, I expressed my wish to take it to the restaurant next door to eat, but my request was denied. I accepted your decision.

You then provided me with a takeaway box and asked me to pack the dessert myself. I was quite surprised because I didn’t know how to properly pack your dessert.

So, I asked if I could come back after my meal to eat the dessert in your restaurant. I didn’t quite understand why I wasn’t allowed to return and eat it, as I had already paid, and your store wouldn’t be closing at that time.
