This donut shop is in the corner of where I live. It's walking distance so I decided to give it a try.
I was shocked to see they are only open for a few hours. They close at 4 pm everyday! Very shocking.
We came on a Friday and they had a happy hour 50% off donuts so it was perfect. Since the donuts are about 2.75 each. So I got to try a donut for a dollar and some for almost 2$ but still better than regular price.
It was about 330 when we came in. The store is pretty small so you walk in and the donuts are to the right. Only 1 cashier ringing people up and getting your donuts. The girl was very slow... she had three people in front of me and it took forever to reach me. I was literally about to leave . I didn't see her trying to rush. So I was about to leave even though I was next. A line formed behind me and a guy left! He didn't have the time to wait. Either they need a second worker or the girl needs to be great at multi tasking and getting people in and out!
I tried the cinnamon one and the piñata donut. To be honest I was excited to try them but I was quickly disappointed after eating them. They tasted like regular donuts without the price.
Usually if you go to yum yums you get a donut for a 1$ or less and here for the same quality you pay more. The only difference it that they add different toppings to the donut and it makes it seem fancy.
The next day I ended going to yum yums for a regular glaze! It left me wanting more. I will not come back. Maybe only to try the bacon donut but if there's a line I'm not...
Read moreHuman blood everywhere!! My very first visit and I noticed blood at the front door. Looked around and it was all along the sidewalk leading into the business. A short line, but as soon as I walked in, I see blood splattered everywhere. The young woman working, bless her, but her elevator wasn't operational, as she was unable to explain why they were open or where the blood came from. She was literally clueless. Sold us donuts like nothing had happened. We told her about the blood, and she kept right on working. I'm flabbergasted!!! The donuts are overpriced, especially given the quality. Soft but generally flavorless. And why can't I get a glazed donut that's covered in glaze??? Half the donut was covered. I won't be back. They don't give a horse's rump about this business. Randy's donuts from now on. Ugh!!!! I have a video, but Google won't let me upload it. I'll post it on IG and FB.
While I'm in here, wake up donut makers... A glazy glazed donut please. It's a donut, we're not counting the calories. I need an EXTRA GLAZE, glazy glazed, glazalicious, super glazed, double glazed, glaze drizzled in glaze donut...come on. It's powdered sugar, double dip the glaze. What's a girl gotta do, open her own Glazy...
Read moreMe and my boyfriend surprised my friend with these doughnuts. It was very close walking distance, so we went on to try it out. Its a pink building with Danny Trejo faces plastered around the walls, so it's an easy place to spot. It wasn't as busy as some reviews said it would be, but then again it was Sunday, so people wanna sleep in. As soon as you walk in, the doughnuts and menu are on your right. They have Horchata sweetned with dates and espresso drinks. Doughnuts look amazing! We were disappointed to see there were no plain cakes for our friend, but they still had plenty of options. We purchased half a dozen, and my boyfriend tried their Cold Brew. The doughnuts are on the pricey side, and there is limited space, but the employees made this place worth the trip. The cashier was extremely friendly and helpful, as we exited and went back home, we told our friend the heartbreaking news, he didn't mind as soon as we opened the box. Everyone enjoyed everything, my boyfriend liked the cold brew with his Abuelita doughnut, I loved the Vegan Peanut butter Chocolate doughnut, so flavorful and smaller than most, but still the bomb. Overall, Doughnuts are all flavorful and the texture...
