A Sweet Treat Worth the Wait at Lapert’s Hawaii Ice Cream
From the moment we stepped in, the staff at Lapert’s Hawaii made it their mission to ensure my kids found the perfect icy delights, reflecting their commitment to customer satisfaction. The ice cream here is nothing short of spectacular - rich flavors, creamy textures, and a genuine taste of Hawaiian aloha in every scoop.
Yes, the lines were long, a testament to the ice cream’s unmatched quality and the high regard locals and visitors alike hold for this spot. But let me assure you, every minute spent in line was entirely worth it for the first taste of their delicious offerings. Read moreI was told there were no samples. No tasting. No trying. Just pick a flavor, hand over your cash, and hope for the best. That’s not an ice cream shop, that’s a gamble. It’s like walking into a clothing store and being told you can’t try on the pants. Or showing up at a car dealership and being told no test drives are allowed. It’s nonsense. Whoever made this decision clearly doesn’t understand how this kind of place is supposed to work. And yeah, maybe they think they can get away with it because they’re the only scoop game in town. But here’s the move: skip it. Walk upstairs to the ABC store (or Island Gourmet Markets)—yes, the convenience store—and you’ll find Haagen-Dazs for three bucks. Hell, it’s cold, it’s good, and you know what you’re getting. Or drive out to Kihei. Plenty of spots there that still treat customers like people. This place? Let it sink. Let the freezer burn take it. Because if you can’t let people taste the ice cream, you’ve already...
Read moreDelicious ice cream and sorbets! The staff was beyond helpful. Kasa(?) let me sample some flavors and gave me her own recommendations as well. Both employees behind the counter were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the products and flavors. I ordered two sorbet flavors as well as an iced coffee and shortbread cookie. When my husband asked if they had a sugar free flavoring for his iced coffee, the staff admitted they did not have any, but went so far as to suggest places nearby that would! We were so surprised that they were so helpful as to even send us some where else if they didn’t have what he needed. It didn’t matter though as we went ahead and ordered his coffee sans flavoring anyway— how could we not with such service?? Overall an excellent experience in customer service. I will certainly be back next time we are on the island. Stop here and indulge— you won’t regret it! (Sadly I ate my ice cream before I could take a pic— it...
