Makedas Butter Cookies Downtown — Restaurant in Memphis

The young lady that served us was so friendly and so sweet. She was very patient answering all our questions about all the sweets. I ordered banana pudding, lemon pie, tea cookies and butter cookies. It was all delicious. My regret is that I didn't order an extra bag of the plain butter cookies. Oh my goodness, they were fantastic 😮! They were close to downtown Memphis so we asked her about a good place to eat and she directed us to Gus's Fried chicken and said we were also not far from Central Bar-B-Que. We chose Gus's. If you want good Bar-B-Que, there's no place like Helen's right here at home in Brownsville. We would have eaten at Gus's in Mason but we were too hungry to wait! If anyone gets a chance to get cookies from Makeda's, please go....

When they say they have the best cookies in the WORLD.. I had to confirm the hype.. it’s my 4th or 5th time pulling up for some Makedas Cookies and it’s worth the trip to Memphis everytime… The cookies remind you of childhood goodness at Grandma House. That’s the best way to describe it.

It was my first time trying the Sweet potato pie(I don’t even like sweet potato pie but my wife do,) so after she forced me to take a bite. I was highly pleased. I got the lemon ice box pie and it’s everything you need from a lemon pie. The selections doesn’t miss at all. 🎯❤️💯

My niece and I stopped by this location yesterday morning as we headed to the airport to come home. The service was impeccable. I didn't get the ladies name but she was so sweet. She let us take our time choosing cookies without rushing us and even gave us recommendations. I told her I was going to get alot of cookies and ended up leaving with two dozen plus a couple other treats, just because of how sweet she was.
