Smurfey's Smokehouse Food Truck — Restaurant in Memphis

We spent over $40 and the experience and food was not good. When I first arrived i just stood there and no one said anything at all. I wasn’t greeted or anything. I saw about 2 maybe 3 workers sitting and standing around no one said anything at all. I noticed two monitors on the counter so i looked and saw you order your food yourself. Finally the lady tells me i can order at the counter. But no one showed how to work it or even asked had i been there before. There was no sign stating to do so or anything. My fiancé walks in maybe 3-5 minutes after me and the young ladies greet him and ask if they could help him. Which i felt very offended by and thought was rude seeing that i had just walked in before him and no one said nothing at all. However My food was not good at all. My fiancé said his food was ok but definitely doesn’t taste the same. My potato had a very weird taste to it and had the taste of lighter fluid and something else. You pay all that money for a potato and it comes in a little container. I want to support black own businesses but it kinda hard to do so when prices are being jacked up like that and they give little food like that. Even the drinks we got were not cold at all they were room temperature. If im Paying $2 and $4 for a beverage i would expect for it to be cold. The only reason im giving two stars for service was because one of the cooks from the back came to make sure our order was dine in or takeout. She was very nice and we were thanked for coming. Straight off the menu, you will love the delicious food here. The pulled pork sandwich is perfect and Smurfey's BBQ sauce is the best I've had, great balance of flavor. The guy knows how to smoke. The greens are now renamed The OMG Greens, because never has a bowl of collard, turnip, cabbage, whatever...never have greens tasted this amazing!!! And me being me, I had to order another item. Loaded fries called the Mane What. I altered them, took off the bbq sauce, but added chicken (pulled smoked chicken no less) and by that design were perfect for me. And renamed, Dayna's Favorite Loaded Fries or The Dayna Fries...not sure which yet. Truly great food. Also, it has a very very comfortable and spacious eating area with modern style.
