I have been a loyal customer for several years. I am a local business owner and have recommended the Ale House to literally hundreds of customers over the years . In the winters and off season I have still continued to patronize this business even after the Happy Hour specials were removed- which illiminated most of the regular customers locally. Until today. TODAY I was at the bar watching football- my team Colorado. The management turned off the game with three minutes left in a close game- after asking me if I was watching it. My natural reaction was to vocalize my displeasure. There is an employee named Frank whom I know well over the years. He decided that my displeasure with having my channel changed was unwarranted. He decided me being kicked out of the establishment was okay- WRONG MOVE. I truly feel sorry for Frank knowing that this restaurant is going down- especially after recent management issues. My wife, family, friends and I are always very respectful and courteous to Frank. He actually had the audacity to accuse me of being disrespectful to other employees- if you aren’t doing your job rest assured I will let you know and forgetting to put people’s orders in constitutes poor service. It’s unfortunate they had a tyrant woman as manager for a long time who ran off the good help- we witnessed employees leaving in tears from time to time. Frank whom I considered a friend more than simply an employee of the soon to be defunct Ale House was not only rude and disrespectful to me on this evening- I have witnesses to his behavior- overstepped his boundaries without being fully abreast of the situation. The bottom line is that I was publicly humiliated and disgraced this evening - as a long time and more than loyal customer- Frank should lose his job today for being a short fused disgruntled employee. His behavior in the service industry is unacceptable . End of story - Sorry Frank maybe find a new line of work. When an employee cannot recognize his best customers and chooses to disparage them publicly and unjustifiably your business is headed in the wrong direction. I have never been so disgraced publicly by any employee of any establishment and I have witnesses that are ready to corroborate my experience. The fine folks that were sitting around me watching the same game were mortified by the unjust reaction and consequential treatment of me. NO sports fan would have responded differently-Goodbye Carolina Ale House - your food was once decent, people used to frequent your establishment other than on game days. You were always expensive, your pool tables stayed wet and broken from leaks in the roof, you served...
Read moreWe had a terrible experience at this restaurant on so many levels. Last night we arrived and things went wrong one after another. First, one of their drinks I had seen on their menu and social media and had wanted to order, they were out. Not their fault necessarily. Then I order another drink and it comes out cloudy and is terrible. Then I wait forever for the waiter to come back to order a beer. Meanwhile we had ordered appetizers and the kids food and it took FOREVER to come out. It finally comes out and the advertised queso loaded nachos barely had any queso or any toppings really and was mostly a pile of plain chips so I had to ask for more queso on the side. My daughter’s side salad had brown lettuce all throughout. Then we place our order for our entrees. Ten minutes later the waiter comes back and asks to double check my order and it isn’t what I had ordered at all, completely wrong. Then we wait FOREVER for the food to come out. My wrap is more than halfway filled with only lettuce and cheese on top with only a little bit of chicken stuffed all the way at the bottom. The tortilla was ripped so it would have fallen apart. At this point I was so frustrated I just sent it back and asked them to take it off the bill. We later realized that my daughter’s milk was never brought out as well. There is probably even more that I am missing as it is a day later but absolutely terrible experience. Most of the issues were food or kitchen related and not the waiters fault but the service still could have been improved. He was very nice and apologetic and gave us a piece of cake for our troubles but it was still such a bad experience. And with all of our issues (many that the waiter said he told the kitchen manager about) and the fact that I’m assuming the waiter needed a front of house manager’s approval to take my returned meal off the bill, no manager came over to speak to us at all. Like how does that happen! This restaurant needs a total overhaul. Long story short we paid about $115 (including tip) for an absolute train wreck of an experience and I didn’t even get...

Carolina Ale House in Myrtle Beach is the ultimate spot for delicious food, cold drinks, and a vibe that keeps you coming back! My visit was unforgettable, thanks to the amazing bartending duo, Nayah and Michael, who made the night an absolute blast with their talent, energy, and hospitality.
Let’s start with the atmosphere: Carolina Ale House is the perfect mix of laid-back beach charm and lively energy. The bar area is where the magic happens, with sports on the screens, upbeat music, and a crowd that’s always ready to have fun. Whether you’re grabbing a drink after a day at the beach or settling in for dinner, this place delivers.
The food is stellar—think crave-worthy apps like loaded nachos and crispy fried pickles, plus burgers that are juicy perfection. But let’s talk about the real stars: the drinks! The bartenders here are next-level, and Nayah and Michael absolutely shine. Nayah mixed up a custom cocktail for me that was equal parts refreshing and creative, while Michael’s recommendations for local craft beers were spot-on. Their friendly banter, lightning-fast service, and knack for crafting drinks with a personal touch kept our group smiling all night.
What truly stood out was how Nayah and Michael made everyone at the bar feel like regulars. Nayah remembered drink preferences after the first round, and Michael threw in a surprise shot for our group “just because.” Their teamwork behind the bar was seamless, and their passion for their craft was obvious. They even took time to chat about Myrtle Beach hidden gems while shaking up their famous margaritas.
If you’re in Myrtle Beach, don’t miss Carolina Ale House—and be sure to grab a seat at the bar! Huge thanks to Nayah and Michael for their talent, warmth, and the kind of hospitality that turns first-time visitors into loyal fans. Five stars isn’t enough—this place (and these bartenders!)...
