What a disappointing experience. Was there at around 5:30 today and the restaurant was pretty much empty, yet it took over five minutes for our server Meli to come to our table. She took our drink order and brought them and I asked her to give us a few more minutes to review the menu. What a mistake. She completely disappeared and didn’t come back to the table for at least ten to fifteen minutes. One reason may have been that we also saw her serving another table all the way on the other side of the restaurant. Jerusalem management, why would you ever assign tables this way?? We placed our entrée order, but after these came Meli came back to our table only once to ask how the food was, but was nowhere to be found otherwise and never came back to ask if we needed anything else, nor did she come back to fill up our waters. I literally had to go to the cash register to have her found to bring us our check because she again had totally disappeared. When she did I paid in cash and she shorted me in change that I was supposed to get and didn’t give us any receipt. We also noticed that she charged us the wrong price for a glass of house win which was supposed to beat happy hour price. At that point the entire experience was so bad that we just wanted to get out of there. Management at this restaurant should be embarrassed and ashamed that they would treat a customer like this. In general the food was good but nothing special by any means, but the service was so God awful that we will never come back. 8/12/25: What an apathetic and lame response. You didn't directly address any of the issues we had with being charged for a condiment, overcharged for a drink during happy hour, why Meli was serving tables on two different sides of the restaurant, the wrong change/no receipt, and that there was no manager to be found. At least have the...
Read moreWhat a wonderful experience that each and everyone should try even once. We wanted to give this 5 ⭐ but the food served hurt the overall rating as well as background music that is a bit, no make that overwhelming. From the beginning we were welcomed and found a beautiful warm well it and vibrant restaurant. Our table would be ready in about 20, minutes so our party of four headed to the bar. One guest ordered the Marriage Drink and found it fantastic 5 ⭐, other drinks were also very good so the bar gets a full 5 ⭐. Our booth was ready so we sat and ordered our appetizer the Jerusalem Combo a mix that all to quickly should be reconsidered as a menu item. Dry and tasteless would be my best description and hardly worth the $22.00 charge so one (1) ⭐. Dinner was the Casablanca Mixed Grill at $85 as we wanted the Lamb Chops...who expected a somewhat dry presentation on top of a mountain of French Fries???? Not us. Lamb Chops we slightly overcooked as were the rest of the meats and not a single vegetable beyond a few tomatoes, onions and two very small peppers so at best 3 ⭐. We ordered two additional Lamb Chops $20 medium rare and they were good as was the salad under them so 5 ⭐ for that. Desert was interesting with the Baklava $8 in three different small sections 3 ⭐ with chocolate cake $8 kind of messy but ok so we give that Dessert 4 ⭐. Now entertainment was outstanding with Belly Fan Dancers coming through (don't forget to tip them as you can leave tips in the beautiful feather wings...)folks they will really appreciate and deserve your tips so please do so and we give them a super 5 ⭐ rating from all of us. Please know that they only dance every Wednesday and Saturday. Had the Turkish Coffee using Vanilla ice cream as the lighter and found it very enjoyable. Parking is good with easy in and out to...
Read moreThe venue itself is lovely—clean, well-kept, and featured a belly dancer who brought energy to the atmosphere. However, despite the enjoyable ambience, our dining experience left much to be desired.
Drinks: Ordered iced sweet tea, which came pre-loaded with lemon. It would be nice to have the option to add lemon rather than having it included by default. The sodas ordered by the rest of the party were flat. Thankfully, that was corrected upon informing our waiter.
Food Portions & Pricing: Ordered the Mediterranean platter, which included three dips (hummus, Baba ghanoush, and tahini) but only came with one pita and four small falafels—not nearly enough for the amount of dip provided. Shockingly, additional pita cost $2 per piece. To make matters worse, if you order the dips separately, as sides, they do not come with any pita at all.
Entrees: Ordered the kabob, expecting a traditional grilled skewer, but instead received three small burger patties—not what I anticipated. Also, did not have a kids menu.
Hidden Charges & Poor Service: Asked for a sauce for my “kabob” and was offered tzatziki, only to later find a $6 upcharge on my bill. The sauce also arrived after I had already finished eating. When I pointed this out, the waiter simply said I “misunderstood” instead of acknowledging the lack of clear communication.
Service: Slow on multiple fronts—delayed drink refills, appetizers taking too long, and food arriving inconsistently.
Gratuity & Payment Fees: We were a party of four but were automatically charged gratuity (which is usually for larger groups). On top of that, an extra fee was added for paying with a credit card.
Overall, while the food was okay, the service and pricing practices were frustrating. Would I...
