Great breakfast buffet! I recently had the pleasure of dining at a breakfast buffet located close to the beach, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I stepped in, the calming sound of the waves and the salty sea breeze created an inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a delightful morning meal.
The buffet offered an extensive variety of options that catered to all tastes. Traditional breakfast items like scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage were present and cooked to perfection. The scrambled eggs were creamy and well-seasoned, the bacon was crispy without being overly greasy, and the sausages were flavorful and juicy.
One standout feature was the live omelet station. The chef, who was both friendly and efficient, prepared omelets to order using a range of fresh ingredients. I opted for a ham and cheese omelet with a mix of bell peppers and onions, and it was cooked to perfection. The ingredients were fresh, and the omelet was fluffy and delicious.
The buffet also included a variety of freshly baked goods. The croissants were buttery and flaky, the muffins were moist and packed with flavor, and there was a selection of breads perfect for toasting. Accompanying these were an assortment of spreads, including jams, jellies, and butter, which complemented the baked goods wonderfully.
For those seeking healthier options, there was a well-stocked fruit bar featuring a vibrant selection of fresh fruits. From juicy watermelon and pineapple to sweet strawberries and blueberries, the fruit bar was a refreshing and colorful addition to the buffet. There was also yogurt and granola available for those preferring a lighter breakfast.
The beverage selection was equally impressive, featuring freshly squeezed juices, a variety of teas, and freshly brewed coffee. The coffee was particularly noteworthy, with a rich aroma and robust flavor that provided the perfect start to the day.
The service was outstanding, with attentive staff ensuring that the buffet was constantly replenished and that guests were well taken care of. The restaurant’s beachside location and relaxed ambiance made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
In conclusion, the breakfast buffet close to the beach was a fantastic way to begin the day. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and picturesque views made for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to enjoy a hearty and satisfying breakfast...
Read moreThis review is coming from a waitress. Who understands the ins and outs of a restaurant and is very understanding. We came here on Sunday, but they were so busy, we went to 10 fold biscuit. Came back Monday. No line. Seated immediately. Friendly hostess. Heard our waitress talking to other tables and was hopeful for a friendly, fun encounter. She seemed nice until I said I wasn't going to get the buffet. It's like her whole personality shifted. I suddenly became a burden and a punch line for her "jokes". I initially thought she was just picking, and it was okay, but she made me feel the size of an ant because I ordered a waffle, a cheese scrambled egg, and toast and not the buffet. I feel she was mad because she had to do more work then just me getting my own food. When my food came, the egg didn't have cheese and no toast. She said I didn't tell her. But in reality, she was too busy picking on me while I was ordering to hear. She called me "complicating" to my grandpa. Who also laughed along because she seemed picking. She said she would just put cheese on the eggs. I said it was fine and just to keep the egg. Didn't even ask about the toast because I could tell she didn't hear me, because she had other priorities. I got a few bites into the waffle, and honestly lost all my appetite. I was embarrassed and angry. My grandpa went to the bathroom, she came back after I stacked everything for her. All the trash, plates etc like I always do. She asked if I wanted a box. I said no ma'am. She said well you hardly ate anything. And I said I lost my appetite and wasn't very hungry. She picked up the plates and said "for heavens sake". What started feeling like a joke, left me literally in tears from embarrassment and anger. The buffet prices are reasonable. But I didn't order the buffet because the food looked low quality and not very appealing. (Fresh menu items looked about as bad) I wouldn't recommend this place unless you really like breakfast and don't care about quality. I'm glad others enjoy it, but it was hands down the worst part of my...
Read moreI've been coming to Myrtle Beach since I was kid in the 70's and 80's and my family never ate breakfast at Mammy's ! When I got older and moved away from the east coast I still came home to the Carolinas every 2 to 3 years and still I had heard about this place and how you would sometimes have to wait in line outside for it. Well , that is something I don't care to do. But anyway , I finally came here on September 21st and it was well worth it and I didn't have to wait in line. When I was leaving though there were a few people waiting outside to get in , so I guess I had good timing.
I was seated right away and ordered coffee. The buffet line was filled with a pretty good selection. The first thing you see is fresh fruit and let me tell you , you have to get the Strawberries. They were so good and fresh. I live in Las Vegas and we get those California Strawberries and they don't have half the flavor these did , must be all the GMO. I also got a slice of Cantaloupe , a slice of Pear , and a slice of Peach.
Now to the main items. I got Grits , Biscuit and Gravy , Sausage Patty and Sausage Link , Scrambled Eggs with Peppers , Corn Beef Hash , and the Strawberries the first plate. The Grits were thick and good like I like them. The Scrambled Eggs were good. I liked the Sausage Patty better than the Sausage Link. The Corn Beef Hash I didn't care for. Biscuit and Gravy was good , but mine are better of course. The Strawberries as I said were great and I got more on my second plate. On my 2nd plate I tried a Pancake with Strawberry Syrup with pieces of Strawberry in it and more Grits and some fruit. The Pancakes were pretty good and fluffy.
The price is really reasonable and that is why it's probably been in business so long. From my understanding they been in business since 1953 and I'm sure they will be here many...
