Original reservation was for an arrival date of 4/11 due to ER visit being admitted to ICU had change reservation told we would be charged 2days if we cancelled x2 rooms I ask even if emergency ¬e from hospital, no exceptions however could reschedule no penalty. We were able to reschedule arrive on Friday, when we got to room our AC wasn't working notified front desk, came and checked cold but not blowing. Next day no air they brought us a fan said no rooms available to change sold out...I even ask if I pay more for a room, no. Next day air still not working, room not cleaned, had to ask 4x for towels &again ask about room change, sold out. Saturday night maint person finally came again and said blower on AC broke and part needed that he didn't have I again complained and was told no room available to move to..on Sunday went to front desk to complain and ask about room change or getting a new fan in room because box fan they brought us broke and blades flying around was informed ny a gentleman at front desk no fans and no rooms available to move to I ask for manager and he said he was so I ask who is above him I could speak with and told him this is so rediculous to have paid the amount of money we did and to receive this type of service, no apology nothing....at this point Ialso ask for corporate info...he gave me all information I ask for. Approx 30 minutes after getting told no rooms available to change to and no fans available I received a call from front desk that room was available and a fan available I ask how available now and not 30 minutes prior? No response. At the time of call we were out on a tour so I informed him we wouldn't be back til late evening and since late not changing rooms but please bring fan and please clean room. Got back late evening no fan, no clean room. Called front desk finally got fan and fresh towels and ask why room not clean, was told because they informed housekeeping not to clean because we were changing room even though I said no at that time because only had 2 nights left. Next day went out and ask them to clean room, gone 6 hours got back to dirty room, called front desk they gave no reason why and no apology, nothing.. I ask for someone to come get trash and bring fresh towels. Waited and waited, nothing, by thus time it's 2.5 hours I have been waiting called back down to front desk and they said they would notify housekeeping. Finally received 1hour later. Monday went out for approx 4 hours and due to previous issues I called front desk to make sure room cleaned while we were out stated they would infirm housekeeping, got back and room not clean, I called front desk no reason why it didn't get cleaned so I ask for towels and trash to be taken out that was at 1pm approx. at 6pm still no towels, trash still in room I called front desk, they called housekeeping and someone came up approx 30 minutes later. On monday called tried calling front desk for over 1 hour several different times, and then even tried calling from cell phone, no answer, we needed toilet paper, finally had to go to front desk no one there, then they came off elevator, no toilet paper had to go back to room, finally came about 15 minutes later, wpuld have had this had they cleaned our room....The sad part is this is a nice property only issue is staff staring blankly when you talk to them, very monotone when speaking and not caring when there is an issue. When paying the amount we did you would think everything would be on point. The plus to the property is Maggie at the bar in the lobby she was absolutely 💯 on top of everything and made an amazing drink and seemed super enthusiastic about what she does and taking care of us. I travel alot and have even to nashville 2x the last visit I stayed at the lowes property and only wish I would have chosen this property again but wanted to be closer to Broadway since was my 60th birthday trip. Oh yea ask to speak with concierge on Saturday to try and help plan some dining and tours and told no concierge on Saturdays. Again, big shout...
Read moreFirst let me say everyone working there is nice, friendly people, but there is several things that need addressed. After reading the other reviews it sounds like this is a common thing. For a hotel that is on the American Express Fine Hotel Collection and priced over 400$ a night it definitely needs some work. The decor is really cool and unique. I stay at some pretty nice hotels all across the United States and have had my fair share of hotel stays. I am currently traveling with my 2 German Shepards and was thrilled to hear that they allow any size dogs for free. The staff all pet my dogs and were super welcoming. The valet was super nice! They know who you are when you walk around.
Now to the problems. The room I got was a balcony king. I’m a pretty understanding guy, but there was hair on the floor in the bathroom, the toilet sprays your leg when you flush, the tile in the shower is broken and coming up on the floor, and for a nice hotel you’d think it would have some nice furniture on the balcony but it was just 2 plastic chairs and a little plastic table. The menu for the mini bar was only half there and the prices were incorrect. I had to call the front desk to find out how much the candy was. On my second day, I ran out of towels and went down to the front desk to request some more. She said that room service would bring it right up. They never showed up. There is a QR code in the room for the room service menu, so I scanned it and it brought up a menu. It said to call the extension so I did and it went to voicemail. I thought “no problem they are probably busy at noon on a Tuesday” so I waited a few minutes and called again. Still no answer so I called the front desk and she was nice but was not informed and well versed about the menu. I ordered a hamburger, Cesar salad, and French toast ranch and ketchup and she said she would relay that to room service. A few minutes later a guy brought up the food and I signed and tipped. After he left I looked at the receipt and realized they way overcharged. I know that room service can be pricey but it was $80! The menu says 49$ plus tax, My total bill was 89 because I tipped 10. Front desk said it’s because there is a 10$ delivery fee and the fries are not free with the hamburger. When I ordered she said the hamburger came with fries. I asked if I could get a small side Cesar salad instead. She let me know they could do a side Cesar. So I was misinformed and wrongly charged. I totally understand a delivery fee but that also needs to be made clear on the menu or on the phone and it is nowhere on it. The fries were fine, the hamburger tasted and looked like a cafeteria hamburger, the menu specifically says that the French toast comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and the vanilla ice cream was not there, the French toast was undercooked, they sent a full size Caesar salad, and charged me for a full-size Caesar salad instead of the side salad. There was no ranch which I specifically asked for. I called to the front desk and let them know that I was missing the ice cream, and did not have any ranch. She said she would get that sent up right away. A few minutes later a guy came up with some ranch and that’s it. I had eaten about half of the hamburger by then and realized I didn’t want it because it was not good, I told him to take the food and I did not want it. (The delivery guy was super nice)
I went on a 30 minute walk and then asked if there was a manager on duty that I could speak to. The guy at the desk did not get a manager, but just asked what department And I said room service and housekeeping. He then just asked me to explain everything to him so I let him know. The food situation and the pricing situation and the housekeeping situation. He said that the hotel does not have ice cream So I let him know that the menu specifically says that it comes with ice cream and he said that’s the wrong menu. The only solution they offered was to take off the French toast.
Overall, I’m just not impressed with this place and will not...
Read moreNashville is so fun! The trip was amazing however I would be very hesitant to return to the Bobby Hotel. The hotel is really pretty and the ambience sets the perfect mood. Rooftop, gorgeous. The valet is very personable and most of the hotel staff provided great service. However, please be aware, housekeeping might steal and wear your clothing. My short stay took a turn on day 2 when my guest and I returned to our room mid day after being out all morning. We walked in on the housekeepers (2) "cleaning" which was initially of minimum concern. I immediately noticed the shirt that one of the housekeepers had on because I had just bought the same shirt that week for the trip. The other housekeeper had on the Bobby uniform that the housekeeping manager later confirmed was a requirement for all staff-- first red flag. The housekeepers had our bed pillows on the floor which was disgusting and did not change the pillow covers due to their quick escape--second red flag. I noticed that a few pieces of clothing that I had laying on the floor and counters had been moved and piled up. We did not rush the housekeepers out but they insisted they were done which was awkward as they did not seem done and one of the housekeepers stood at the door telling the other housekeeper to "hurry up, come on". We stayed in this room for 2 more nights and did not have any other housekeeping services. On the last day of the trip I was looking for a graphic tee (the one just like the one the housekeeper had on) that I had packed specifically for the travel day and could not find it. I chalked it up to maybe I forgot to pack it. Upon returning home I was not able to locate it at all which made me feel really uneasy. I called the Bobby hotel within the next week to speak with hotel management about my concern and the housekeeping manager was not responsive. I called again to speak to upper management and was connected with the head of security. I explained the situation to him and asked him to run the tapes back as I noticed the cameras in the hallway and it would show the housekeeper leaving the room with my shirt on. He LAUGHED but said that the incident was so odd he would look into it and asked me to send him a picture of the shirt so I did. He also confirmed that it was not in the lost and found. A week or so later he sent me an update saying that my shirt had been located...in a trashcan at the hotel...and brought to the lost and found... SERIOUSLY? This was a brand new shirt with the tag still on it. How did it end up in the trash can from my suitcase? With no tag? A week later? He even sent me a picture of the shirt with him smiling in it. There was no apology, there was no further investigation, follow up, or anything. Yes the shirt was a shirt but the picture is WAY bigger. This housekeeper had stolen my property and was WEARING It in the room when I walked in and it magically appeared in lost and found nearly 2 weeks later. This was super unsettling and scary because I had so many valuable possessions that he could have gotten such as my laptop as I was working on vacay, my bfs Rolex which was hidden, and other possessions worth way more than the anime shirt. It was even more appalling how the hotel handled this situation. To be laughed at, accused of misplacement, and ultimately brushed off on top of being STOLEN from was such a slap in the face. If you think I'm lying, I've attached the picture, I blurred out the picture of the head of security smiling but you can see him posing and the bobby uniform he has on. If you read this far, thanks. Hopefully they can correct this and no one else will have to...
