Brunch at Ellington’s – Nashville’s Best-Kept Secret (But Not for Long) āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Tucked into the heart of downtown Nashville, Ellington’s is a hidden rooftop gem that just launched its brunch service — and it’s already one of the best brunches in town. With sweeping skyline views and a vibe that’s effortlessly elegant yet totally relaxed, this spot feels like your secret local escape in the middle of the city. We enjoyed the Brunch Feast, which truly lives up to its name. From buttery housemade biscuits and smoked salmon to hot chicken sliders and a perfectly cooked steak with chimichurri, every course was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes were top-tier comfort food, and the French toast was fluffy and rich without being overly sweet. But the real sleeper hit? The smoked tomato jam. Tucked quietly among the accompaniments, this spread stole the show — smoky, tangy, and wildly addictive. Don’t overlook it! Our experience was made even better thanks to our incredible waiter, Christopher Cruise, whose warm, attentive service made us feel right at home. And hats off to Chef Samual Greer, whose thoughtful and flavorful menu proves this brunch is crafted with real care and culinary talent. We finished with a charming two-tier tray of sweets — delicate macarons, mini cheesecakes, chocolate tarts, and lemon-poppyseed scones — paired with a refreshing spritz. It felt like a little European afternoon tucked into Music City. Friendly staff, fresh ingredients, and a stunning rooftop setting just steps from Printer’s Alley — Ellington’s is a brunch experience you don’t want to miss. Go now, while it’s still a secret!

Chef Chris truly exceeded our expectations with the extraordinary dining experience my girlfriend and I had at Ellingtons last weekend. Our journey commenced with the smoked trout rillette and the potato croquettes, two appetizers that undoubtedly left us wanting more. The symphony of flavors in both dishes was nothing short of delightful. Moving on to the main course, we opted for the smoked chicken & gnocchi and the bone-in pork chop, and it turned out to be an impeccable choice. Contrary to our assumptions of having leftovers, we were irresistibly drawn to finish every last bit of food on our plates. The bone-in pork chop, prepared in a manner that elevated its status, was an unexpected delight. The spiced bourbon gastrique not only imparted a beautiful tangy note but also complemented the smoky flavors, rendering the pork chop irresistible. The chicken & gnocchi, however, emerged as the highlight of the evening, reigning supreme as the best chicken dish we've had in Nashville. The gnocchi, that sat in a delectable sauce, elevated the entire ensemble to a whole other level. In fact, the gnocchi itself could stand alone as a remarkable offering. Meanwhile, the chicken, with every succulent bite, showcased an abundance of well-balanced flavors without a hint of dryness. Overall, Ellingtons is a culinary gem that I wholeheartedly recommend. Chef Chris's ingenuity shines through every meticulously crafted dish. Don't hesitate to visit.. it's a culinary journey that promises not to disappoint šŸ’Ž

Unsure if we are just unlucky or if this place changed lately but I recommend skipping this one. The atmosphere and vibe of the place was good but it was no clean! There's lot of dust on the lamps and the bar is sticky. It's crazy that this upscale restaurant does no take the time to clean well! The food is not great either. Granted we just had a couple of appetizers but it was a fail. The burrata in particular was a big fail. They served us an soup kind of dish with melted mozzarella style cheese and 3 piece of toast. Burrata is supposed to be serve cold and the best thing about it is when you cut it open and get the creamy delicate cheese inside. This was just plain bad and terrible. We also had the bread with butter and the fries, those were ok at best. The check comes in, of course they make a mistake and charges us for a drink which we had for free as we are guest of the hotel. Maybe it's an error and we got a "my bad, that's on me" but still doesn't leave a great impression... Skip this place and find something better.

My wife and I visited your restaurant yesterday while on our vacation. We are both medical doctors and this has literally been our 1st vacation from work in a year and a half due to this covid pandemic and work obligations. We found your restaurant to be very clean, comfortable, and stylish. We really appreciate your availability of outdoor patio seating, as we have not quite yet gotten comfortable being unmasked in close quarters with other patrons inside restaurants. In our job roles even though covid vaccinated, we really can't afford to take any unnecessary risk with our health. The food was to die for. We had 2 orders of the pork belly which taste like a hug from a long lost friend, that paired well with the risotto and the bottle of cabernet we ordered. Concluded the meal with one of the best creme brulee's we have every had. The best part of the dinner was the service from a waiter whom I can't recall his name except that he was tall, from New York and has a girlfriend who is also in the food service industry. He was very friendly, catered to all our needs, and made great conversation. Please give him our best and make sure he is properly recognized for his dedication to his job. I appreciate that your restaurant still observes covid safe procedures as we have walked into other restaurants such as Bourbon Steak and promptly left due to them packing in patrons to areas of seating practically shoulder to shoulder. Again thank you all for a great evening we look forward to our next trip to Nashville so we may dine with...
