I would like to start by saying that Fattoush cafe is one of the most phenomenal Mediterranean restaurants I have ever been to. Great food followed by unmatched customer service every time I walk through the door. Ownership of the restaurant knows what the customer expects, and NEVER fails to deliver. On top of that, I have had the pleasure of developing a good relationship with the owner and his family for the past 20 years, and I know they give the same energy and opportunity to everyone that steps into the store. It is beyond the experience you would expect walking into a Mediterranean restaurant in Nashville.
I do, however, have a problem with people leaving reviews on here complaining that the food is over priced, or the service takes too long. Asking “how does this restaurant have such high reviews?” When some of the people that are leaving these reviews have never stepped foot in the restaurant! This shows that some people really have nothing better to do than watch you fail, and shows a big lack of professionalism. Firstly, you need to understand that this is NOT a fast food restaurant. All of the food is made fresh, and fitted to each individual customers need. It takes time to prepare, and deliver in hand, the food you are ordering. As far as pricing goes, for the amount of food you receive for ANY item on the menu, this place is unmatched! I cannot tell you how many times I have visited Fattoush, and been blown away by the quantity of food I receive, for the price I pay. This is a widely shared opinion within the community, and is also why they have continued to carry on a successful business for the past 30+ years. Secondly, I have seen some comments about health regulations within the store. Wearing a mask in a privately owned business is NOT mandated. It is entirely up to ownership whether or not you need to wear a mask in his/her store. I acknowledge we are living in a crazy time right now, but not everyone shares the opinion that we be forced to wear a mask. You have to make this decision for yourself. For the past 20 years I have been coming to Fattoush, it has been one of the most clean, kept up restaurants I have ever been to. This is why this is one of the ONLY privately owned businesses still open for the public to enjoy during a time like this.
If you are ever in Nashville, and want to eat somewhere that has great food and top notch service, Fattoush is the place to go. And if you are ever stuck on what to get, my favorite by far is the chicken /beef combo plate. Also, you have to try the hummus here! You will not be disappointed. I would highly recommend this...
Read moreI had been driving by this place for a while and finally stopped in. I was pretty excited to finally give it a try. First thing I noticed was the owner was working by himself, frantically trying to keep up with the orders. I felt bad for the guy. He was really nice to me. I saw him getting frustrated with a few people trying to rush him. I didn’t mind the wait because he was literally making every ingredient from scratch. I watched him make the hummus, the falafel, and the tahini. It took about 40 minutes to get my platter. Again, didn’t even mind the wait cause it was made from scratch in front of me, and the final product looked absolutely incredible. Got in the car and my wife took a bit. Only 1 bite and put it down. She didn’t say a word but I knew something was wrong. Soon as I bit into it, my mouth was the saltiest it’s ever been. It was inedibly salty. Probably the saltiest thing I’ve ever tasted. Could not taste any other flavors. I thought maybe the tahini would cut the salty hummus, but the tahini was also salty. I had a bite of every item in the platter to see if there was something that could break up the salt, but it was too late to save my palette.
Super unfortunate because the food looked so good and I liked the owner. With how good all the other reviews are I am assuming I came...
Read moreDelicious food... chicken pocket, beef/chicken plate and gyro plates. After some initial confusion about the dwindling food supplies at the end of the day ( and frustrated communications between the chef and ourselves) the chef got out and cooked more chicken and beef for our party and another walk in customer. Of course this meant we had to wait a while for our food, which luckily we were in a position to do. When we did get our food It was tasty and the portions were good Once these orders were fulfilled the chef was much more friendly and we realized it was likely because he was stressed at the number of orders that came in right before closing time. This confusion is because the hours on Google say that he is open till 8:00 however he is only open until 7:00 p.m. and because of the popularity of the restaurant by 7:00 p.m. a lot of the food is gone. He was very accommodating telling us to stay as long as we would like because he was going to be cleaning up with the kitchen. He is unable to / does not have time to do the updating on Google. It'll be great if someone local who is able to help him with us could go ahead and do it. It would make his life easier and also make things better for people visiting. Thank you for our one Nashville Greek experience From a bunch of...
