From the moment I arrived, I could tell this place takes pride in doing things right. The staff greeted me warmly, made sure I understood where everything was, and went above and beyond to make the experience easy and stress-free. The atmosphere is wonderful. The music was wonderful. The service could have been a whole lot better. The food was awful. Way too salty and too spicy. I’m giving this a bad review because how it was handled when it was brought to the managers attention. The manager sent the server over to say they are not willing to remove the cost of steak from the bill even though 2 bites of the entire meal was eaten. Instead they were willing to remove the cost of one drink. That was very unprofessional and I immediately requested to speak to a manager. After speaking to the manager personally, he went to say that the only spices used was salt and pepper. It felt as if I was being called a liar. Well that is not true. Coming from a family that cooks Cajun food… it was loaded with a whole lot more. And it was so salty that it was unbearable. The best way to have handled this was to apologize and say I will bring this to our chefs attention. My recommendation for the chef is to become more skilled with preparing food that actually has a flavor instead of masking it with so much salt and spice that one is unable to eat it.
