The meat was all dried out and hard looking, aren't they supposed to stir it periodically to prevent that? I was informed they ran out of white rice, but the employee didn't want to tell me they'd be making a fresh batch in 2 minutes for some reason. A different employee had to tell me that. Weird. And then he scraped the hell out of the hard, crusty rice at the bottom of the container to put in my bowl along with the fresh rice. They rush you and try to get you out as soon as possible as if they have important stuff to do but they just stand around gossiping and having stupid conversations. The aluminum lid they gave me was also stained with sour cream or some dried out white substance.
The Hispanic woman with the braid, I think she's the manager, was being kind of rude. There was a woman in front of me who had paid and was getting ready to leave, taking a few seconds to put on her jacket and grab her food and the manager suddenly informed me of my total as if to rush me even though there was clearly this lady in front of the register who had not left yet. How am I supposed to pay when there's another person in front of me standing in front of the debit card reader? How hard is it be respectful and just let that lady finish what she's doing and then ring up my total? The store was not busy. They're always rushing you. An elderly homeless woman someone Iāve seen buying food there nearly every day is one of the kindest people you could meet. All she wanted was a warm meal, just like any paying customer.
Despite consistently purchasing her food, the staff decided to harass her simply because she had a few bags with her. Instead of showing compassion or basic human decency, they went as far as calling the police on her, treating her like a criminal for merely existing in their space. It was heartless, humiliating, and unjustifiable.
This is not the kind of business that deserves our support. If they can treat a loyal, paying customer like that just because of her circumstances, imagine how they might treat others.
