Teriyaki One Japanese Grill (Teriyaki & Sushi) — Restaurant in New York

Teriyaki one/junction blvd. Now I try not to be a hard critique when patronizing these take out restaurants, especially if it is a place that I like and have frequented quite often. I usually go to this teriyaki spot on my lunch break ,and I have become very acquainted with the poke bowl since it it mostly seafood (shrimp, crabmeat) and salad, I have read the menu several times when ordering to make sure I am not getting an unwanted food item,(I don’t eat meat, to include chicken/lamb/beef, of any kind), I also have food allergies, mainly ( and I don’t know how, or why) zucchini. This food item is not listed as an item in the poke bowl, and I have ordered this many times, never has it ever had zucchini or cucumbers. I go in today for my usual order, as I am sitting in my car to have my lunch, I get past the top layer, and just under the second layer…WHAT DO I SEE? I almost had a heart attack, the food item that will have my throat closing in 2.2 seconds. I jump out of my car and run back across the street to have this order corrected, they tried to tell me nooo,it’s cucumber, very unconcerned, I said absolutely not,… MY THROAT WILL CLOSE!, they offered to make the order over, my issue is, there was no apology or anything remotely close, I said all of that to say, to this establishment you need to be much more careful, if you do not have an item listed, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT put it in the food order, you don’t know what a person could be allergic to. I asked a question and the cashier didn't understand because of a language barrier. Instead of her taking the time to understand, she instead rolled her eyes and had an attitude. Bad service will not go back. Your in my neighborhood acting like that. My money is valuable. If you have know patients to explain your menu options dont be in the customer service business. No manger on site, no one speaking clear English, but money you understand. So, understand this. You won't be getting my money anymore. By the way, I always just order the shrimp tempura. Everything else on the grill, is a greasy hot mess. Artery clogging and high cholesterol having food. All that oil they squeeze first on the grill then hand it to you to eat. No flavor but the oily mess. Not worth it. Oh the place is dirty too, you go to sit down and eat, not a clean table insight. Dirty floors as well. I stop sitting in there and started taking my food to go. Now I won't bother go in at all. The Target mall location in the neighborhood is better...

Great and cheap food, if you are expecting some fancy meal then this is not the one, but if you are just doing some errand and wandering around here and feel hungry for some quick meal,then this is the place, this serve you the food fast and the taste is pretty decent, their customer service may not be the best cus they are all chinese, is understandble, although the guys of the front is the only one that can speak more english than the cooks. Also they have sushis but i didnt get any of them, i was just hungry and wanted to fill up my tummy with something and cheap, so i just got a teriyaki with chicken.
