When I worked in the city, I would often grab this before getting on the train home. I do recommend ordering ahead, as it can be slower if you order and wait in line, especially when you need to make a train. The staff never seems too excited, but I can also understand that due to the location, as they likely experience a lot of personalities. The set up is nice, but can be confusing. They have 2 lines in a sense, I believe one for in person & 1 for orders. I usually go to the back wall to pick up my food, but have also ordered in person. I don't really notice a difference on portions either way, however I do like ordering on the app because I automatically get points and I don't have to bug them to add extra, I can just do it on the app. I usually get a bowl with brussel sprouts. I am not vegan or vegetarian, but l was always a picky eat and don't want to risk biting into a weird piece of meat. That being said, their brussel sprouts are AMAZING. They have a char and the perfect amount of seasoning. I think the only complaint would be that I wish it was warmer, it's usually lukewarm, which is better than burning my mouth, but sometimes you want a warm meal too, especially when it was just ordered. Overall, Dos Toros is great and I miss being able to grab it before heading home.

My girlfriend and I just finished trying Dos Toros Taqueria, and honestly, we walked out wishing we could’ve gotten our money back. For a place that calls itself a taqueria, it completely misses the mark. It felt more like a watered-down, bootleg version of Chipotle, and that’s being generous. The biggest issue? The food just lacked flavor. Both of us kept saying it tasted bland, like someone forgot to season everything. For the price you pay, the portions and quality feel like a ripoff. And don’t even get me started on the drinks, a can of soda was almost $3, which feels criminal in a casual spot like this. I’ve honestly had better hospital food. Overall, this place does a disservice to the name “taqueria.” If you’re looking for something authentic or even just satisfying, look elsewhere or go to Chipotle.

I’ve been coming to this location for years as I’m a railroad employee and frequently in the station during meal times. Monday March 10th at 7:15pm I was told by the woman working the line that I could not have any more ingredients after I asked for a burrito with extra cheese from the steamer or whatever. So I was only permitted to have a slice and half of cheese, one scoop of protein, onions and peppers and sauce. When I asked for shredded cheese and pico i was told no and then when the other girl rang me up she insisted I needed to be charged for guacamole since i had “extra cheese” Very disappointed but I guess it’s a sign to patronize los tacos upstairs exclusively.

Listen I’ve worked customer service jobs and I understand how much they can suck, let’s just say I never expect 5 star service at a place like this especially in nyc. But I will never understand employees who are so stingy over portions as if it comes out of their own pocket! It’s not like I was expecting extra! Just what I paid for??? Like???This is their second offense against me just this week! After skimping on the portions of quite literally everything that I ordered, the employee working the line told the cashier that I ordered something that cost more than what I actually ordered. Which I corrected because I was already fed up over the rediculous portions. The cashier then asked if I wanted a receipt, which I immediately said I did. But she had already clicked the button to close out the transaction and told me the wait by the side and proceeded to take multiple more orders while I was very obviously waiting. She then started completely ignoring me, meanwhile I was making it increasingly more obvious that I was in a rush and also standing about a foot away from her while she was dodging eye contact. Something I normally would not do but this is was ridiculous. after a little while, one of her coworkers finally gained the courage to speak for her and said “ma’am she can’t get you a receipt.” Mind you - I only wanted this receipt because they had skimped on portions so badly. AND this was my final straw with them because this is the SECOND time THIS WEEK that they have done this. Ordered from another location on uber eats a few days ago and they gave me HALF A SINGULAR BRUSSEL SPROUT. For a $4 extra charge. I kid you not. As if those brussels are coming out of your paycheck smh!!! I will be sending American Express after y'all at once!! Receipt or...

I walk in at 8am , there are 2 girls there , one to take the order and another to make the order . So we look in the back and the person who is supposed to make the order is nowhere to be seen , the girl in the front shouts out to her and asks : are you there ? To which she responds NO . She then gets up and it's obviously chewing on something . ( I understand you gotta eat but please do so before you gotta touch other people food ) .

Then I ask for a steak and egg burrito but without the pepper ( because I'm allergic to pepper ) . She then tells me they ran out of tortillas and I could get the pre made ones (with pepper ). I walked out and went to get my business elsewhere where people actually care for your business .

Seriously it's 8am and you RAN OUT of tortillas ?? They just opened and this is a taco/ burrito place , how did you already run out at 8am ? Mine as well close and go home .

Keep in mind this is not the first , second or third incident I have with this place . There was the review where I asked for cheese and they didn't have any cheese .

Either train people to do their job or hire someone who actually needs and wants to work instead of eating behind the counter and telling customers stuff is not available just because they don't feel...
